"writing": "<160>\n\n\tLyrah’s eyes went wide. “Seriously?”\n\n\tTheira nodded. “She confirmed to me that Karthak had died. She had brought his body back and burned it many years prior, but she blamed me for it all.”\n\n\t”During my adventures, not once had I encountered my mother,” Karthak added. “I thought she had passed as well. I did not know any of this until Theira and I had been reunited in Ardenweald.”\n\n\t”She had nothing but hatred in her eyes and her voice. Just like Karthak, she had been through hell, but she had channeled her rage toward me, whether I deserved it or not.” Theira closed her eyes, and Karthak placed a hand on her shoulders. “She would not listen to me. She wanted her own revenge. She had assimilated with the Grimtotem tribe. She was old and frail when I saw her, and I believe she was sent to Revendreth upon her passing. Regardless, I did not back down from her, and the last thing I remember is watching her smile as two Grimtotem bulls hurled me off of a cliff.” She gestured at the markings on her limbs, likely from the impact among the rocks.\n\n\tTears started to form in Lyrah’s eyes as she pieced things together quietly. “Grandma, Grandpa… I’m so sorry.”\n\n\t”Do not be,” Karthak said gently. It is… strangely soothing to tell you all of this,” he admitted and smiled at Lyrah. “We made many mistakes in life that we have tried our best to atone for in death. We have made peace with our pasts, but… we still think about Drenan all the time.”\n\n\t”I’m sorry we did not get to meet,” Theira said softly, smiling. “Seeing you in Ardenweald was… eye-opening, when we realized who you were. We met Kinah shortly after her death, and she told us what she knew of Drenan when we became friends. I wish I could have known her in person, too. She’s incredibly sweet and so very different from her tribe.”\n\n\t”But Drenan… no matter how much we think of him, we could not face him again after our transgressions,” Karthak added. “We have caused him so much pain and suffering.”\n\n\t”We did not learn from our own ancestors. I became just as stringent as my own mother. I pushed Drenan away just as she did, me.”\n\n\t”I succumbed to the same vengeance my mother had. The same bloodlust my father had as a chieftain.”\n\n\tLyrah looked at each of them for a quiet moment, then Theira added, “But Drenan broke the cycle.”\n\n\tLyrah’s brow arched, and Karthak nodded. “He may not have found faith with the Sunwalkers, but he made his own place in the world.”\n\n\t”And he clearly raised a wonderful little girl all by himself. The biggest tragedy was that Kinah was taken before her time, but my heart swells knowing you grew into such as fine woman.”\n\n\tLyrah couldn’t hide a smile. “Thank you,” she said and bowed her head. “It kinda makes a lot of sense though, why he is the way he is. I mean, we never really had a tribe. I’d never even heard of the Snowpeak or Arrowsplit tribes before, which I guess makes sense if they don’t exist anymore.”\n\n\tTheira nodded. “My tribe fell apart a few years after I left, too. I imagine my mother probably blamed me for that as well, but I never saw her again. Neither of us really had much love for our families… so naturally it’d be difficult for us to love our own. It’s no excuse, but we have reflected on it all for many moons.”\n\n\t”Do not be like us,” Karthak rumbled softly. “We tell you all of this in hopes that you may learn from our mistakes.”\n\n\t”We just want you to be happy, Lyrah.”\n\n\tLyrah nodded, her smile turning a bit… sheepish. “So… I’m guessing you both know about…?”\n\n\tBoth tauren nodded, and Theira answered, “Kinah has kept us in-the-know, as they say. It is… unusual, and it’s not something either of us expected to hear about.”\n\n\t”But Kinah told us about it in detail. It is apparent that the decision was mutual.”\n\n\t”And you two sound quite good for each other.”\n\n\t”After all your father has been through, he deserves peace and happiness, too. If you are the one to bring it to him, then who are we to question it?”\n\n\tLyrah’s smile was one of intense relief. “He makes me very happy. He always has. I’d like to think I do the same for him.”\n\n\t”Honey, you are his everything,” Theira assured her. “We have learned the hard way not to project ourselves onto our children. I did not give Drenan the choice that you have. Therein lies the difference. And soon a great-grandchild will join our family… in a sense.”\n\n\tLyrah blushed a bit. “Yeah I… I know it’s kinda weird. But I love Dad, and I love our baby already. I’m really excited to be a mom after all this time. I mean, we’ve been together for like, eight years now. I think I’m ready.”\n\n\t”Only you can decide that,” Theira added, “But you also have your father at your side as a partner and husband. We have no doubt that you are in good hands.”\n\n\t”He is stronger than I ever was,” Karthak added. “And I am certain he will have a happy home ready for you when your quest is at an end.”\n\n\t“Yeah! I-“. Lyrah paused, then went pale. “Wait… what do you mean?”. The tauren couple nodded toward Kacheya, and when Lyrah looked at the owl, a glowing blue lens appeared, peering across Draenor.\n\n* * * * *\n\n\tDrenan grunted as he slammed another log down atop his ever-growing wall, pounding it into place with his bare fist. He wiped the sweat from his brow and clambered back down to touch down on the ground, stepping back to briefly inspect the full, first floor of his growing house. He’d chosen to lay the house out differently from the first, making it look like a mansion compared to their old home in Azshara. The kitchen was much larger, as was their living quarters, and he’d designed a spare room for each of them, as well as a few more for the second floor when he got to it. There were even provisions for a fireplace in their grand living room.\n",
