Thick, rich brown fur covered much of its four-legged body, its fluffy tail rigid and stiff behind it. The fur on its paws and muzzle were a lighter white color, matching some of the more tarnished fur on its belly. Two large teeth jutted out from its lower jaw, while its tongue flicked in and out of its mouth to drink up water. The beast was large, clearly larger than the average wolf, though it made no immediate move to approach her.\n\n”Shit!” she swore, splashing water in all directions in surprise. As fast as she could, Nira scrambled out of the water and snatched up her clothes, while the wolf in question started to growl and back away from the pool. The pesky heat in her loins took a backseat while she dressed herself, half-running in the process to make a beeline for the wolf. She barely made it within fifty feet of the beast before it turned tail and ran, though she’d earned just enough time to yank on her top and shorts, then break into a full-on sprint into the woods. “Stop! Get back here, you beast!”\n\nOf course, the beast didn’t listen. Its massive form bounded through the thick trees, but its size made it trickier to bound and leap quickly. Driven by a complex ball of emotions, Nira sprinted through the woods after it as fast as her hooves could carry her, and little by little, to her own surprise, she was gaining ground on it. “Come on! Stop!” she called after it, gasping between breaths. “Let… me… TAME… you!”\n\nHer pleas fell on deaf ears, and with a rumble the wolf burst through a tree barrier and landed in another clearing, but this one was surrounded by much thicker brush and even bigger trees. The beast looked to and fro, but saw no immediate exit, and as it spun back around, Nira came rushing into the clearing as well, struggling to catch her breath. The wolf started to growl and began backing up as she approached, until its tail grazed the underbrush behind it.\n\nIt was cornered.\n\nNira briefly rested her hands on her knees as she tried to compose herself, and once she had, she glared at the wolf and dared to take step after steady step closer to it. Its fur stood on end, its eyes never leaving the approaching tauren. Another step closer, however, caused the wolf’s nose to start twitching, although nothing else about it changed.\n\nNira studied the wolf intensely, though she knew not what its twitching meant. “C’mon… get tamed, dammit! You’re mine now, just submit!”\n\nAnother step. The cornered wolf’s growl turned into a snarl in the blink of an eye. The massive, muscular, fur-covered blur suddenly exploded into motion, launching itself into the air and diving for Nira. The tauren went wide-eyed and screamed in shock, the beast crashing down atop her before she could even think about fleeing. She threw her arms up defensively as claws and teeth flashed in front of her, her cries turning from frustration to desperation. “STOP! GET AWAY! BACK OFF, NO!” she shrieked and screwed her eyes shut. She had no weapons, no way of defending herself, having banked solely on her ability to tame the feral beast.\n\nThe wolf’s vicious growling made her ears ring, and she keenly felt its claws dig into her leather clothes… but after a few moments, she realized she hadn’t once been bitten. Her mind tried to reboot itself and assess the situation while being attacked, and to her surprise she felt its weight back off of her… somewhat. She dared to open her eyes, and she found the wolf no longer bearing its teeth. Its nose was pressed into her chest, sniffing fiercely, and gradually working its way down her body little by little with increasing interest.\n\nHer heart was beating out of her chest, and a number of possibilities came to her, but all of them scared her to death. If she tried anything drastic, it could bite, and she feared her first aid capabilities might not be enough to save her. “Hey… I-I’m not gonna h-h-hurt you,” she breathed softly, doubting it could understand her, but unsure of what else she could do while splayed on her back. She’d just been touching herself mere minutes before, after all, and even she caught just a wisp of her own scent as the beast started pawing at her leathers.
