  "description": "A little follow-up to my previous drawing, where we see Bartellkt and Darathee vacationing at Friedrichshafen, spending a hot August day on the shores of the Bodensee playing in the shallow water by the local beaches. The two are having fun with a new beach ball the wealthier Hill Dragon had previously purchased and she throws it to the larger Firedrake who, in his enthusiasm, accidentally throws the ball which hits a reclining noblesar on the hit, much to the shock of the latter's wife. And Bartellkt, being the gentle red giant that he is, hollers out an apology as Darathee stands there with clenched teeth in worry.\n\nThis one was a bit more straight-forward than the last drawing, it was all just a matter of getting the poses, clothing, and appearances of the characters right. Once again, I went with a purely lineless background, done entirely with pencil that I hope looks a bit better than backgrounds I've done in the past (it was already a mess with the pencil lining around the dragons' hands and wings). Mostly, it took me a while to research the exact swimsuits worn by people in the 1930s and 1940s, the beach chairs used at this time, and the beach ball, which would have just come into fruition around this time in history (the inflatable beach ball as we know it being developed in 1938). This was drawn on a Mixed Media art pad that was a pain to stuff into the printer, it'd be nice to get a proper flat scanner and maybe a decent cheap camera (or a tablet with a decent camera) for the bigger pads that wouldn't properly fit in the scanners.",
