This passage is going off on a tangent to provide context to the landing of a crewed spacecraft on the surface of our moon.\n\nCyber Year 2\n██████ is born.\n\nCyber Year 8\n████████ is born.\n\nCyber Year 20\nA child is returned to her people after her liberation is negotiated with the surface dwellers.\n\nCyber Year 22\nOur current leader was elected into power.\n\nCyber Year 23\nConstruction begins on HELIOS array experiment.\n\nCyber Year 29\nConstruction begins on the Talon.\n\nCyber Year 34\nMonth 2\nDecree against Talpan use of most of the surface revoked after the destruction of an abandoned fortress. Intimidation by our superior technology is the most effective tool against the oppression by the surface dwellers.\n\nMonth 3\nITS Talon deployed. Using our advanced technology, missions to expand our army can be done under the guise of extraterrestrial activity.\n\nMonth 8\nDay 20\nITS Talon begins first major expedition.\n\nDay 22\nThe First Invasion reaches the shores. Our mission, to secure a set of powerful relics and use them to unify the world. While the majority are within areas controlled by our legion, only one is recombined and handed off to our leader while the exact locations of the others elude discovery.\n\nDay 23\nA child flies in the face of our initial plans. His skill at locating the relics was accounted for in the new plan to confront him using his family as an acceptable tradeoff to our prisoner population.
