________________________________________________________________ The newcomers gathered around Gadget, as well as Chip, Dale and Monty and Zipper. She had wheeled in from her lab a blackboard and began using a piece of chalk to draw a few equations on the board. "So what's this all about Gadget luv'?" asked Monty. Gadget replied after fihishing her work on the board. "The reason I asked for your undivided attention is because we have a VERY serious problem on our hands." Gadget had a serious look on her face. "What do you mean Gadget?" asked Chip. "What I'm saying is that we are suceptable to altering the very flow of time." She replied. "Why's that Gadget?" asked Dale. "Because of the teleporter incident." "Teleporter? You mean a device that can transport objects from one remote location to another?" Asked Penelope. Gadget and the others were awestruck. "...Why, yes. But how?..." stuttered Gadget at a loss for words. "Yeah Penelope, How DO you know about that?" asked Suzy. "What can I say, I like quantum physics. I'm the Brainiac, remember?" penelope replied. "Quantum hah?" asked Jayden and Dale simultaniously. "...*ahem* anyways, If you could please turn your attention to the blackboard." Gadget continued. "Can one of you tell me what year it is?" Gadget asked. "That's easy, 1953." Said Gloria. Chip, Dale, Monty and Zipper gasped. "I knew it." said Gadget. "I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but it's March 17, 2011." The group of friends stared at the mouse in disbelief. Gadget then went onto explain that because the newcomers had become temporaly displaced, if anything were to happen to them it could alter the flow of time. "So you're saying that if anything happened to them, it could screw up the present and the future?" Asked Dale. "Precisely. So we have to make sure that nothing happens to them so we can make sure the timeline is not permanently altered." Gadget answered. "But what do we do If we 'ave to go on a rescue mission?" Monty asked. "Golly, I hadn't thought about that!" Said Gadget worriedly. "Rescue mission?" asked Betty. "That's right, because we're the Rescue Rangers. We fight crime an' stuff." replied Dale. "Awesome! You're like superheroes then. Man, maybe this won't be so boring after all." said Jayden excitedly." "Whoa there. YOU have to stay here." said Chip. "What? But why?" asked Jayden. "Were you even listening? If we get hurt, not only does that alone say something, but we could mess up the...'timeline', was it?" said Suzy. "Yeah, and the last thing we want you doing is screwing everything up as per usual." Diane added in. Little did any of them know, Mipps, one of Fat Cat's henchmen was spying on them while wearing a...let's just say a very "cospicuous" disguise that consisted of a small tree branch and nothing else. He was in constant contact with Fat Cat via Walkie-Talkie. ________________________________________________________________ "Did you hear that boss? The Rescue Rangers are stuck babysitting some brats. Let's go rob a bank while they're busy." Mipps said before being interuppted by Fat Cat. "Did you not listen to what they were talking about?" This question only elicited a simple 'uhhh...' from Mipps. Fat Cat sighed before he continued. "The only reason the Rangers have those kids is because they have a teleporter. If WE got our hands on that teleporter, we could transport ourselves into any bank vault in the city. NO, THE WORLD, and vanish without a trace! Now do you know why I never pick you for reconnisance?" Mipps dopily shook his head. "BECAUSE YOU HAVE AN ATTENTION SPAN SHORTER THAN A COCKROACH'S BIG TOE!!!" Fat Cat yelled into Mipps' walike-talkie. "...Mipps? Are you still there? Mipps? MIPPS?!" yelled Fat Cat. ".............Sorry, what's going on?" said Mipps. You could hear the resounding facepalm through the walkie-talkie. _______________________________________________________________ A few minutes after finishing her explanation, Gadget had decided to contact Tammy and her mother and sister to take care of the children from the past. Just as soon as they had arrived, Chip heard listned in on the police radio of a possible jewelery heist downtown. "Looks like there's a major theft happening dowtown. Tammy, You and you're mother take care of the others while Me, Gadget, Dale, Monty and Zipper go to catch the crooks." said Chip as he and the others made their way to the Rangerwing and flew of to stop the heist. A few minutes later, Jayden just sat on the couuch, bored out of his mind. "It's not fair." He said. "What's not fair?" Jayden turned his head and saw Penelope had made her way over to him and sat next to him. "I'm sorry, it's just that it's bad enough that we got sucked through time, and now we have to be babysat like a bunch of children." Jayden said. "Um, incase you haven't noticed..." Penelope began. "Oh, you know what I mean!" he snapped. "Well, if you ask me, I think it's facsinating. Did you know that they have something called a computer with something called the 'internet' that connects one computer to another? It's mind-blowing!" said Penelope as she began droning on about the new technology as Jayden, getting bored with penelope's lecture, began to doze off. "This is almost as boring as one of Professor Owl's lessons" He thought as he began to fall asleep. Meanwhile, while the Canary sisters were helping Tammy's mom prepare lunch, Suzy Sparrow was talking with Tammy while she watched after Bink. "So, what do you do for fun around here?" Suzy asked Tammy. "Well, I usually turn on the TV around this time of day to watch my favorite reality TV show." Tammy replied. Suzy just gave her a look of confusion. "What's 'Reality TV'?" She asked. Tammy picked up the remote and turned the TV on. "Come here, I'll show you." Tammy replied. She plopped down next to Suzy on the couch, which startled Penelope slightly and woke Jayden up. "Sorry about that Penelope." Penelope just laughed and pointed to Jayden. "It's fine, bu I think you gave Jayden more of a scare then me." She said. "Hey now, I wasn't scared!" Jayden said defensively. Just then, Tammy's mom, followed closely by the Canary sisters, brought everyone's lunch as well as a few snacks out to the living room and set them on the coffee table. "Lunch is served, kids." Said Tammy's mom as both her annd the Canary sisters took a seat on the couch. She then picked up the remote and changed the channel, much to Tammy's dismay. "Mom! I was watching that!" said Tammy in protest. "Now now Tammy, we have guests present." Tammy's mom said. Tammy was about to argue, but decided against it, seeing as she didn't want to upset the others. Tammy's mom eventually found a movie channel as The others munched on the snacks as an action movie came on. They failed to realize, however, that a group of mysterious figures were watching them.
