The morning sun rose over the horizon as it welcomed in a new day. A day that would bring about record temperatures. The summer had been especially hummid this year and it was beginning to drive everyone crazy. But for one of the residents of Nutwood, today would be a day she would never forget. Ottoline Otter, only child of Mr. and Mrs. Otter, slowly opened her eyes as she pulled of the blankets and sat upright. She groaned to herself as she made up her bed. "It's so stuffy in here. Maybe I should get some air in here." she thought out loud and went to the window. She opened up the window, an act she would soon regret. As soon as she opened the window, a plume of hot and humid summer air blasted her in the face. She quickly closed the window, the room about five degrees warmer. "Well THAT wasn't such a good idea now, was it?" She said to herself as she wiped the sweat from her brow as she made her way to the bathroom. "Perhaps a cool bath would help." She opened the door and made her way inside. A few minutes later, she finished bathing, got dressed and made her way downstairs to have breakfast, only to bump (quite literally) into Rupert Bear. "Oh dear! I'm sorry Rupert." Ottoline apologized as Rupert helped her back on her feet. "It's alright Ottoline. at least no one was hurt." said Rupert as he brushed himself off. Ottoline heard someone giggling behind her. She turned around to find herself face to face with a female poodle. "So, is your morning routine usually this chaotic?" The poodle asked. "Oh yes, Ottoline, meet Francis. She's the one I met at Sandy Cove, remember? she's visiting Nutwood for the weekend. Francis, This is Ottoline." said Rupert as he introduced the both of them. "Pleased to meet you Ottoline." said Francis. "The pleasure is all mine Francis." said Ottoline before Rupert spoke up. "Well then, I have to go now, Me and mum are going grocery shopping in Nutchester. I hope you two have fun." said Rupert as he saw himself out. Once he left, francis turned to Ottoline abd said "So Rupert tells me that this place has a lot of secret passeges. Is that true?" Francis asked excitedly. "That's right. This old manner has many secret passeges that go to every room of the house. Come on, i'll show you." and with that, Francis followed Ottoline as she made her way to the portait on the wall in the kitchen. "TA-DA!" exclaimed as she pointed to the picture of the Earl of Nutwood Manor. Francis merely cocked her head. "It's a nice picture, but what does that have to do with any secret passeges." she said. "Just you wait and see." said Ottoline as she pushed the portait in. That's when the wall spun around and they found themselves in a dark corridor. "Amazing!" said an awestruck Francis. "This is nothing. Just wait until you see where it all leads." said Ottoline as she lead Fracis down the halls. _______________________________________________________________ Meanwhile, on the bank of the creek, Freddy and Ferdy Fox were setting up a large tent. The twin brothers decided to camp out near the river for the weekend. "That's not how you pitch a tent." Ferdie said as he went over to where his brother was standing. "So? It's not like you're doing it right either!" yelled Freddy. The two began to argue as they usually did before Freddy tripped over a piece of paper. "What did I just trip on?" asked Freddy. Ferdy picked up before he held the piece of paper in his brother's face. "You tripped over the instructions, Doofus." Said Ferdy, failing to stifle a chortle. Freddy got up and began helping his brother properly set up the tent. They had finished by about 5:00 in the evening. as Freddy looked proud of the tent that they had set up, Ferdy gave Freddy a playful shove. This evolved into a shoving match, which ended up with Ferdy getting shoved into the river. Freddy just stood at the bank of the creek poking more fun at his brother. "It looks like you're all washed up Ferdy." Freddy began laughing so hard that he never saw the huge splash of water coming. "If I'm all washed up, then you're all wet!" Mocked Ferdy before Freddy stripped down to his boxers and dived in after his brother. "When I get my hands on you, I'm going to drown you for sure!" said Freddy in a mock-serious tone as he and his brother began an impromptu game of water tag. _______________________________________________________________ Ottoline and Francis had spent most of the day running around Nutwood , stopping only for lunch back at the manor, courtesy of Mrs. Otter. It was getting late though, and it was still extremely hot out. "Thanks for showing me around Nutwood, Ottoline. I've had a wonderful time." said Francis. "You're quite welcome Francis." replied Ottoline. A couple of minutes later, Francis spoke up. "I can't believe that it's still so hot out, even though the sun is setting." Ottoline just wiped her forehead and sighed "I know what you mean." as they both made their way over the river bridge. Just then, Francis had an idea. "Then why don't we take a dip in the creek then?" Francis asked. "It's so tempting, but I don't have my swimming suit with me, and I doubt you have yours." Ottoline replied. Francis flashed Ottoline a smile. "Who said anything about swimming suits?" Ottoline thought about that for a split second before she realized just what Francis meant. "B-But...I mean..." She stuttered. "I take it you've never gone skinny dipping before." said Francine, slightly amused. "And you have?" said Ottoline in disbelief. "Of course, lots of times. There's a certain beach not far from sandy cove where me and my family usually go to during summer." Francis replied. "You don't mean a nude beach, do you?" Asked Ottoline as Francis took her shoes and socks off. "Indeed I do, but what's to say that this can't be a nude river?" Francis asked as she began lifting her blouse off. "...I guess you're right, but what if someone sees us?" Asked Ottoline as Francis took off her blouse. "No one will see us. By this time, everyone is probably having supper by now. Now come on, Are you just going to stand there in your sweaty clothes, or do you want to cool off?" Francis asked as she had pulled off her skirt and was now staning in her panties, which she was now in the process of removing. Ottoline reluctantly complied as she removed her socks and shoes. By this time, Francis stood wearing nothing but her fur, and now she waited for Ottoline to get undressed. Ottoline started from the bottum up instead. When she removed her blouse, Frnacis noticed something odd. "You're wearing a bra." stated Francis very matter-of-factly. Ottoline looked down, slightly ashamed. "You probably thing it's wierd to see a ten year old wearing a bra, don't you?" said Ottoline, tears welling up in her eyes. Francine put her hand on Ottoline's shoulder. "Nonsense. There's nothing wrong with being an early bloomer. Don't worry, I won't say anything. Now come on, take it off." she said as she helped Ottoline work her bra. Sure enough, when Ottoline removed the undergarment, a pair of BB breasts had now been exposed for all the world to see. Francine just smiled and said "You're lucky. with any luck, I'll probably be flat for the rest of my life." Ottoline began to smile a little at the compliment as she removed her panties. For a minute or so, the two girls stood there before Ottoline asked Francis "so...what now?" "What else? we go for a swim." replied Francis as she made a cannonball dive into the river. Ottoline decided to loosen up and she grabbed onto a rope haning from the branches of a nearby tree and swung from the rope and into the river. While the girls swam around in the cool waters of the river, two other people were returning from the woods with firewood. _______________________________________________________________ Freddy and Ferdy Fox had just come back with a fresh load of wood and tinder. "I can't wait to roast some marshmallows over an open flame." said Freddy. "I know. And the best part is that we can skip dinner for dessert." said Ferdy. The twin brothers set the firewood in the fire pit. That's when Freddy's ears perked up at voices coming from the river a few feet away. "Hey Ferdy, Do you hear that?" he asked his brother. Ferdy listened for a moment, then looked over at Freddy and said "Yeah, I hear it. I wonder who it is?" Freddy gave Ferdy an impish grin and said "There's only one way to find out." They made their way over to where voices were coming from and hid in the nearby bushes. When they saw who was making the noise, they stopped dead in their tracks. Freddy just stared at the girls, his nose bleeding for reasons unknown, while Ferdy put his hands together and mouthed the words "thank you god." That's when Ferdy noticed the pile of clothes on the riverbank. "Hey Freddy, are you thinking what I'm thinking?" Freddy saw Ferdy motion towards the girls clothes. "Oh yes." _______________________________________________________________ Francis and Ottoline were having the time of there lives. "You were right Francis, this feels great." Francis just smiled. "What did I tell you?" Ottoline then climbed up on the rope and prepared for a huge dive. That's when she saw them stealing their clothes. "OH NO, ANYTHING BUT THOSE TWO!" she thought with horror. "Come on, what are you waiting for?" asked Francis, to which Ottoline only replied with "FRANCIS, OUR CLOTHES!" Francis did a double take before she noticed the clothes thieves. "Hey you two, come back here!" To which the Fox brothers turned tail and ran, but not before Freddy stopped and shouted "Oh don't worry, your clothes will be fine, you just have to find them first." That's when Ottoline Began to run after them, but by the time both her and Francis had gotten out of the water, the Fox brothers were long gone. Needless to say, Ottoline was more than a little steamed. "Ohhh, when I get my hands on those two, I'm going to..to... !" "Forget about them Ottoline, let's worry about finding our clothes." said Francis. With that said, the girls began to search the surrounding area for their clothing. _______________________________________________________________ It was already dark as Ottoline and Francis came to rest underneath a tree. "We've been searching for an hour now, and still no sign of our clothes or the Fox brothers." said Ottoline. Francis sighed before saying "I'm sorry for getting you in this mess." Ottoline put her hand on Francis' shoulder. "It's not your fault Francis. If Freddy and Ferdy hadn't shown up, then we'd be back in our homes." Francine smiled for a moment before she asked what they were going to do without our clothes. "I wonder if it's possible to sneak back to my place before anyone notices us." said Ottoline. "I wouldn't be so sure about that, miss." said a familiar voice from behind the tree they were under. It was Constable Growler. "OH! You scared us Constable." said Ottoline. "Sorry about that miss Ottoline, but I was patrolling the area one last time before I went back to the station to finish up when I spotted two figures walking through the trees. Imagine my surprise when I found you two hear. So tell me, what are you two doing out at this hour and in this state?" Constable Growler said. It twas then that both Ottoline and Francis told Constable Growler about what happened a few hours ago. "And so now we're trying to find our clothes." Francis finished. Constable Growler put his hands in front and asked "You don't mean these thngs do you?" as he held out their clothes, now neatly folded. "Our clothes! But how?" said Ottoline. Constable Growler laughed a little. "I came across Freddy and Ferdy on my patrol as the had just finished putting your clothes in a hole in a tree. I caught them by surprise and they immediately told me what they did." "Oh thank you Constable Growler." said Ottoline. "Yes, thank you Constable." said Francis. "Oh, it was no trouble at all. It is my job to help everyone out, you know." Constable Growler replied. "Now get dressed and I'll take you both back to your homes." And so, Constable Growler walked Ottoline and Francis back to their parents. Ottoline then thought to herself "And to think, all this started because of a summer day." EL FIN!
