All the coaches said he would go places if he kept at it. It was also the first time he saw a smile on his father's face when he looked at him, when he started playing. Before, all he remembered were frowns and scowls when his father looked at him. When Ethan was born, Finley remembered registering the look of pure joy on his father's face. He had never been given that same look. But soccer... when he played, his father at least smiled proudly. Finley's best friends were on the team: Henry the leopard, Soren the fox, and Mark the retriever... They had all played together for years. But the last few months, something had changed. Something inside Finley... In the locker room, he found himself staring longer when Mark and the others were changing. And the showers... it was hard to hold back his reaction to seeing the others naked. Heat would rise in him, from his face to his groin. There was teasing, of course, but it was all good natured. Some of the others got that way too - but they seemed to be able to play it off. For Finley, it felt like something... more. And it wouldn't GO AWAY. He would get home, and not be able to stop thinking about them. Soren's neck. Throat. Tail. Mark's privates... the retriever's privates were bigger than Finley's. His knot thicker when it would come out during the showers. And Finley thought, maybe, he saw Mark looking at his stuff just as much as Finley looked at Mark's. Somehow, the thought of that made Finley even harder. And it was getting painful! That's what led Finley to be where he is now. His mother and father were gone with Ethan at some school parent teacher thing. Finley’s coach had dropped him off at home after practice, telling Finley how good he had done today, and offering bring Finley to his place to play some games or some extra practice if Finley wanted. Finley had turned it down, only because he was embarrassed by the state he had been in since the shower after practice. He loved coach, but he couldn't let coach see him like this any longer. It was hard enough to hide in the car, Finley keeping his gym bag in his lap the whole time. He waved to coach as he dashed inside.
