"writing": "My parents warned me that the world out there is far less nice than I thought, but I didn't listen. Fortunately I learned my lesson without any major consequences, but this was extremely lucky on my part.\n\nI started like many others -- leaving home to go on a Pokemon journey. That didn't really worry anybody that much as it's been a tradition for generations. My parents have done it, my grandparents have done it, and so have most other people I know. The routes are generally safe and patrolled, so it provides a nice adventure that makes for good stories afterwards. That is not to say that it's completely danger-free, but most people make it out in one piece.\n\nThat's why while my parents warned me and instructed me at great length until I couldn't take it any longer, they still let me go without much worry. Of course they thought that I was going to do things the normal way -- go through the routes, conquer gyms, earn badges, all of that. But what I didn't tell them is that I had different, greater ambitions.\n\nPokemon battling always seemed in bad taste to me. Making intelligent creatures fight for money and your gratification just seemed unnecessarily cruel, and the competition between trainers mostly senseless unless one got to great heights, but that required a lot of sacrifice and pain from one's Pokemon, and I wasn't willing to do that.\n\nWhat I really wanted to be is a Professor. To see the world, observe Pokemon in their natural, raw glory from afar and see if all those snippets in the Pokedex were true. Some were logical enough but there were enough head-tilting things in there that I suspected that the information wasn't vetted too well. My plan was to venture off the well trodden roads deeper into the wilderness and seek out several species and observe them in their natural habitat. I would take a team with me, but only for self-defense and nothing else. Hopefully I would never need it.\n\nAfter a long trek I had finally reached Tapu, and after loading up on supplies I set for Mount Lanakila. The air was bitter cold, and I didn't encounter any people on the way. I was feeling quite happy about that, as that gave me exactly what I wanted: a pristine environment, without any people who could dissuade me, or interfere with my mission.\n\nI had underestimated how hard it would be. It quickly wears on you to walk through uneven, snow-covered terrain as freezing winds blow and sting your eyes. I had to proceed slowly and carefully, after several difficult encounters made me realize that life was hard in the wild. Still, I persevered and moved forward.\n\nFor my first foray, I ventured deep into Weavile territory as that was one of the first things I wanted to observe. The comments in the Pokedex about marking, hunting and splitting the catch intrigued me. While nobody had yet succeeded in understanding Pokemon speech, this seemed to suggest the species was quite intelligent, even almost human-like according to some. Pokemon, of course, are keenly perceptive and intelligent. But is that all of them, or just the ones that trainers would keep? That was the kind of thing I wanted to find out.\n\nAfter a couple hours of walking, I started seeing marks cut into the trees and ventured further. In my excitement I failed to realize that I didn't know where I was, and that the snow had been erasing all the tracks behind me. The battles on the way had already worn on my team, and though my trusty Torracat was still in decent shape, I had to be cautious.\n\nAn hour later I was suddenly hit with the realization that everywhere around me looked pretty much the same, and I had no clue what direction to go in to return to civilization. Fortunately, I knew that this was a big problem and after some thinking decided to turn back. It wouldn't do anybody any good if I died from hypothermia before I had even managed to observe anything. Though it was very disappointing, I had to return before it was too late.\n\nBut first, I needed a break. If you're in trouble, the first thing is to make sure you're not about to make your situation even worse than it already is. I had to rest, re-assess my and my team's situation and try to figure out the quickest way back to civilization, so I looked around for a safe hiding place. I found a fallen tree, no doubt cut by some Pokemon, whose thick branches provided a good amount of cover. I sat down and took out a sandwich out of my backpack and was about to bite in when a terrified scream interrupted me.\n\nTrying to make no noise, I slowly removed my binoculars from my backpack and carefully peered over the trunk. Soon, I saw it: Two Weaviles were chasing a very young Alolan Vulpix around, cruelly playing with her.\n\nThe poor thing was badly hurt, and clearly was out of strength to resist. The attackers scratched at her from all directions, making bleeding cuts in her body. I watched horrified as the Vulpix was chased back and forth between to them, slower and slower, as she got weaker due to blood loss. Finally, she stumbled and fell to the ground.\n\nThe male of the pair quickly grabbed her leg and gave her thigh a deep scratch, probably to ensure she wouldn't run away. Then he growled something in an inquisitive tone to the female. To me it seemed like he was claiming his half. Whatever it was, it seemed they quickly reached an agreement as he female quickly joined him, holding the unfortunate Vulpix at the other end. Now their prey's fate was sealed.\n\nRather than killing her quickly, the hunters decided to take things slowly. I was horrified, but didn't dare take my eyes off the awful sight, lest I make a noise and alert them to my presence. While my Torracat was more than capable of taking on one of them, two likely were too much. And judging by the viciousness of their attacks, I really didn't want to risk it.\n\nThe male started by examining her lower half with great interest. This could have been almost cute given the manner in which he was doing it and the expressions of delight and interest that were clear on his face. The problem was that Weaviles are consummate predators, and though they are very dexterous their hands are not made for any kind of delicate manipulation. What from afar looks like fingers in reality are huge, razor sharp claws. They slice easily through tree branches and other Pokemon, so even the mildest mannered Weavile can be a challenge to the best trainer, due to their ability to cause horrible wounds without even trying.\n\nThis one apparently had a sadistic streak to him. He was slowly, and methodically examining the Vulpix's vagina, spreading her folds, penetrating her with his claws and playing with her clitoris. He kept an expression of child-like wonder and curiosity seemingly unconcerned that his claws kept on cutting into the delicate flesh with every move he made.\n\nWhile he was doing that, his mate kept herself occupied performing the same sort of butchery on the prey's chest, squeezing and pulling on the barely developed breasts, shredding the soft skin with her claws.\n\nMeanwhile, the unfortunate Vulpix kept struggling and screaming with increasing desperation, her eyes frantically searching in all directions, seemingly looking for a savior.\n\nWhile I was well aware that nature wasn't always the sort of thing that you can put on a postcard, this had genuinely disturbed me. I was afraid to even move, lest they notice me and decide to torture me as well. Closing my eyes didn't really work, as I still heard the agonized screams and my imagination easily filled all the missing detail.\n\nI debated with myself to try to quietly summon my Torracat and drive the attackers away, but I wasn't sure it was a good idea. My beloved companion was already slightly hurt, and though she could have easily taken on one of them, two might have been too much. They looked young and strong, and it seemingly took them no effort to restrain their prey, so they well might have been too much for my Pokemon to handle despite the type advantage.\n\nAnd should I even intervene, if I could? This was what I had come here for. What I was witnessing was what I had wanted to see. Shouldn't I as a neutral naturalist just sit in my hideout, observing and taking notes?\n\nStill, I couldn't take watching her suffer any longer, and so, caution be damned, I slowly started reaching for a Pokeball. But unfortunately, it was too late. While I debated myself, the Weaviles had finished playing and had evidently got hungry.\n\nThe male growled something, and the female reacted by strongly grabbing the Vulpix from behind. I made a mental note to write in the journal that I had witnessed a clear sign of communication and organization, but all thought of writing anything down completely went out of my head because of what happened next.\n\nThe male grabbed the Vulpix's clitoris with one hand, swiftly sliced it off by using the razor sharp claws from the other, and threw it into his mouth, in what looked like one smooth, well practiced movement. There was a short pause as the male chewed with an expression of delight, before the Vulpix gave a shrill, unearthly scream. The male looked completely unconcerned with this and followed by reaching in, and biting into her groin.\n\nShaking, I slid down to the ground and did my best to plug my ears. Of course I had known that predation wasn't pretty, but I was surprised by how incredibly brutal and sadistic it could be. Despite my best efforts, I still could hear the raw, desperate screams that were quickly growing hoarse and fading in strength.\n\nI sat there in a daze what seemed to be hours, until I realized that the noise had ceased a long time ago, and finally gathered the courage to take a look. The clearing was now empty, with only a few bones and a large amount of blood on the snow, already being covered by the still ongoing snowfall.\n\nNot being able to bear remaining in that place any longer, I gathered all my belongings and checked the compass for the direction back to civilization.\n\nI don't remember much of what happened next. At some point I reached Tapu, exhausted both physically and mentally. I handed over my pokeballs to the pokecenter, and checked myself into the first hotel I could find.\n\nI tried to sleep, but I couldn't: every time I closed my eyes, I saw that poor Vulpix. At some point before the end, her eyes encountered mine and she had looked in my direction with a desperate, pleading expression that is going to haunt me until the day I die.\n\n",

They looked young and strong, and it seemingly took them no effort to restrain their prey, so they well might have been too much for my Pokemon to handle despite the type advantage.<br /><br />And should I even intervene, if I could? This was what I had come here for. What I was witnessing was what I had wanted to see. Shouldn&#039;t I as a neutral naturalist just sit in my hideout, observing and taking notes?<br /><br />Still, I couldn&#039;t take watching her suffer any longer, and so, caution be damned, I slowly started reaching for a Pokeball. But unfortunately, it was too late. While I debated myself, the Weaviles had finished playing and had evidently got hungry.<br /><br />The male growled something, and the female reacted by strongly grabbing the Vulpix from behind. I made a mental note to write in the journal that I had witnessed a clear sign of communication and organization, but all thought of writing anything down completely went out of my head because of what happened next.<br /><br />The male grabbed the Vulpix&#039;s clitoris with one hand, swiftly sliced it off by using the razor sharp claws from the other, and threw it into his mouth, in what looked like one smooth, well practiced movement. There was a short pause as the male chewed with an expression of delight, before the Vulpix gave a shrill, unearthly scream. The male looked completely unconcerned with this and followed by reaching in, and biting into her groin.<br /><br />Shaking, I slid down to the ground and did my best to plug my ears. Of course I had known that predation wasn&#039;t pretty, but I was surprised by how incredibly brutal and sadistic it could be. Despite my best efforts, I still could hear the raw, desperate screams that were quickly growing hoarse and fading in strength.<br /><br />I sat there in a daze what seemed to be hours, until I realized that the noise had ceased a long time ago, and finally gathered the courage to take a look. The clearing was now empty, with only a few bones and a large amount of blood on the snow, already being covered by the still ongoing snowfall.<br /><br />Not being able to bear remaining in that place any longer, I gathered all my belongings and checked the compass for the direction back to civilization.<br /><br />I don&#039;t remember much of what happened next. At some point I reached Tapu, exhausted both physically and mentally. I handed over my pokeballs to the pokecenter, and checked myself into the first hotel I could find.<br /><br />I tried to sleep, but I couldn&#039;t: every time I closed my eyes, I saw that poor Vulpix. At some point before the end, her eyes encountered mine and she had looked in my direction with a desperate, pleading expression that is going to haunt me until the day I die.<br /><br /></span>",
