Chapter 2: Survival

The next morning, Armec and Kalinya were greeted by the orange coloured sun shining through the simple shelter they had built, assaulting their tired eyes. They had both spent half the night trying to fall asleep, finally succeeding only a few hours ago. Kalinya had the worst of it, trying to supress her arousal after watching the wolf next to her relieve himself in a more erotic fashion than she had ever thought possible. Armec was more worried about the fact that he had partly wet himself while he was getting his pants down, and how he was going to clean his mess later.
Both of them were worried when they woke up, but they were able to quickly get out from the cover of their shelter. Armec grabbed the remaining pack of rations. When they ate this later, they would be out of food. "I think we might want to find some more food, Kal. That way we won't run out. Anything we should be on the look out for?" The leopard thought for a moment, before saying "Liki Fruit. They're small, round yellow fruit that grow on the nearby trees. they dont get rotten unless they sit outside for months, so they can last us awhile. Problem is they don't grow back for a really long time."
Armec just nodded as she explained the fruits, understanding how valuable they could be. "Well maybe we should head to another area and find a more suitable place to stay." Kalinya agreed. With their only luggage being the rations, they were ready to go at any time. They set out to the east, leaving their metal shelter behind.
They walked for hours, occasionally stopping at a tree to pick the liki fruits. Kalinya was getting a little restless, as her bladder was reminding her of the fact that she hadn't taken a bathroom break since yesterday. Every time they stopped, she had to either keep herself out of Armec's sight or pick the fruits herself to keep her need in the dark. She wasn't as pee shy as he was, but she had no doubt that if she tried to relieve herself out in the open like this, then Armec would easily smell the arousal that she had last night, and she didn't want to have to make an excuse if he caught her squirming around.

Armec carried the fruits they gathered in the packaging of last night's rations, while Kalinya simply carried tonights rations in her paws. They walked together for another hour, until they noticed that the trees were rapidly becoming more common. Just a mile later they found themselves in a small forest with the Liki trees replaced by thick pine trees, or at least what appeared to be pine trees.
By now Kalinya was struggling to keep still, but figured that if she got caught then she could just say that the long walk exhausted her, which was also true. She wanted to stop and rest, but Armec was still going forward, and she knew why. If they spent too much time resting, they probably wouldn't be able to find a good shelter before sundown, and that could spell doom in this foreign environment.
Their ears perked up suddenly, as the pair heard rushing water nearby. Without a single word, they both ran toward the source of the noise and found a waterfall spilling into a large, open lake that must have been a mile wide. They both immediately fell to the ground in exhaustion and relief that they had found a safe haven. Or atleast, safe for the moment.
For Kalinya, the water meant two things. The guarantee of a bath, and worsening conditions for her bladder. For the sake of not wetting herself, she put all her remaining energy to keeping her pent up liquids inside until she could recover her strength, at which point she leaned back up. "Armec, I kinda need a bath." She had only just stopped herself from finishing that sentence with "room".
The wolf next to her was practically half asleep on the rocky ground. "Yeah... you do that..." Kalinya simply glared at him until he looked at her. Realizing what she just said, he shot up. "OH! Uh, right. I'll get out of your way then." He got to his feet and disappeared behind the trees, taking one of the fruit with him.

Once she was sure that Armec wasn't watchhing her, the leopard girl took off her uniform down to her undies, revealing that she didn't wear a bra. She always considered them to be complicated things that only served to hold her breasts in one place. Pointless. Her actual breasts were roughly average in size and shape, but she was proud of them simply because thats how they've been since they developed.
Kalinya turned toward the water, intentionally leaving her panties on since they badly needed to be washed. The air was warm and she expected the water to be similar, but she nearly froze solid when she stuck her foot in. The sudden contact with such cold water caused her to squirt some of her liquids into her undies, creating a dark patch on the front that spread outward. Once she stopped herself, she silently spoke to herself. "Hmm... maybe leaving these on wasn't such a good idea..."
The leopard tucked her thumbs between the waistline and her hips, praying to any god that could hear her that Armec wasn't watching, and lowered her underwear to her ankles, revealing every inch of her body. She shivered a bit as the musky scents of her body were released from her nethers, and combined with the cold water and her desperate need to pee, it started to overwhelm her. She stepped forward, releasing another spurt of piss which splashed loudly into the water as the numbing cold went up her legs. Eventually she stepped far enough that the water reached her thighs.
At that point, she couldn't take it anymore and she began to unleash her pee into the water. She closed her eyes, blushing and moaning as she added her warmth to the cold lake, greatly enjoying the feeling as her legs were quickly becoming warmer and warmer, plus the sheer blissful relief of relieving herself after holding it all in for so long.
It was enough to make her legs buckle, causing her to fall to her knees. She was still high enough that her head stayed above the water, and it was warm enough that it didn't make her whole body numb. She placed a paw between her legs and felt as her liquids left her through her pussy lips, suddenly feeling very naughty for enjoying it so much. As rediculous as it was, she was beginning to feel just as aroused as she did when she saw Armec relieve himself last night. She wondered if he felt as good as she did right now.

Meanwhile, Armec had made himself busy by looking for a suitable shelter. Water and food was good, but useless without a place to sleep somewhere nearby. It didn't take him long to notice a cave on the cliff wall that held the waterfall. He was checking to see that it wasn't occupied when he caught a strange but sweet scent, which he thought was the fruit he had brought with him. Curious, he took a bite and found it to be one of the sweetest fruits he had ever tasted. "Wow, these things must be loaded with sugar. No wonder they last for months."
He took one last check around the cave and decided it was a suitable shelter. It was very large, more than big enough to keep him and Kalinya comfortable, and they could keep a big storage of liki fruits. When he was done inspecting their new home, he headed back outside and began to gather any firewood that he could from broken branches and twigs. After nearly half an hour he realized that Kal hadn't returned from her bath, so he headed back to the lake to check on her.
He hoped to avoid any embarassing situations by looking towards the lake, taking a quick glance to make sure that the leopard wasn't face-down in the water, then walking away. His plans didn't go quite as well as he expected. As soon as he got past the last bush in his path, he was suddenly staring directly at an almost-totally naked Kalinya, who was busy pulling her pants up. As soon as she heard leaves rustling, she stopped and looked at the disturbance.
They both stood totally silent until Kal fell to the ground and tried to cover up her private areas, and Armec covered his eyes, yelling "Sorrysorrysorry!" over and over again. He ran backwards and hid in the bushes he just came from, as Kalinya yelled back at him. "What are you doing here!?" while scrambling to get her clothes on. Armec stopped to catch his breath before responding. "I-I... you were taking your time so I wanted to check up on you! I thought something might have happened to you." He was starting to calm down a little, since he could justify his reasons.

Kalinya simply blushed and looked angry at herself. Yeah, she had certainly taken her time in that lake, and for not-so-honorable reasons. And she was especially angry that at some point she had neglected to leave her underwear with her clothes, losing them somewhere in the lake, and that meant that Armec had just seen her- "Hey, um, Kal? Let me know when you're decent, okay?"
Regaining her focus on the matter, she reached for the nearest shirt and pulled it over her head and onto her body. "Okay, I'm decent now..." Armec poked his head out of the bushes and slowly approached her. They were both blushing hard, too embarassed to talk properly. That didn't stop Armec from trying, however. "I, uh, found a place for us to stay for awhile, and I got some firewood." Kalinya's spirits were raised a little at the good news. "Okay, guess that solves a few things right there..." She thought about Armec's reasons for checking on her. "So... you care enough about me to make sure I'm safe during a bath?"
Armec was half happy that she got the point, and half panicked that she put it like that. "Uh, well..." He just stood stood there and tried to think of what to say to her as his blush continued to spread across his face. Kalinya remembered that she had already seen him naked last night, and in a far more compromising situation, and was glad that he didn't know about that yet. After a long moment of awkward silence, she giggled softly and kissed Armec on the cheek, causing them both to go an even deeper shade of red, if that were even possible now.
The wolf looked at her, completely silent. 'Why did I just do that!?' Kalinya thought to herself. Armec looked like he was about to say something, but the leopard girl interrupted him. "Hey, maybe we should go back to camp! It's gonna be dark soon." He looked up, and the sun was indeed beginning to fall behind the trees. "Yeah, okay. Lets go then..." They began walking back to the cave that Armec had found, the wolf having completely forgotten that he intended to take a bath too.

By the time night fell, they had set up a small stock of liki fruits and started a fire to cook their last set of rations, as well at brighten the cave. The moonlight outside was extremely good for seeing normally, but it was useless inside a pitch black cavern. Kalinya had the bright idea to use liki juice to add flavor to the rations, and it made them much more bearable to their tongues. Within minutes, their last meal was gone. They would have to find something else to eat in the morning. The two of them rested against the cave walls and allowed their stomaches to settle. A moment later, Armec stood up and moved to the mouth of the cave, as Kalinya watched. "Hey, where are you going?" After the events at the lake, Armec was not feeling quite as shy about it anymore, so he was more blunt about his response. "I'm going to go pee somewhere." The leopard stood up and followed him. "Mind if I go with you?" At this, Armec was a little worried that he would have trouble releasing himself like he did yesterday, but he couldn't see a valid reason not to let her come.
They both gently travelled down the rocky path as the twin moons lit up the way to the trees nearby. They both picked the closest tree. Armec stood behind it, unzipping his pants and pulling out his sheath. Kalinya took the opposite side, pulling down her pants and squatting down so that her lips were pointed toward the base of the tree. After a moment of concentration, they were both able to begin releasing their streams on the imposing tower of wood, sighing quitely in an otherwise silent night. They were both on opposite sides of the same tree, peeing at the same time, on a thin wall between then. The idea was making it more difficult to continue as both their arousals increased. After nearly a minute, they both finished their bathroom break and began to make themselves decent again when they heard a rustling nearby.
Armec walked over to Kalinya's side of the tree as the noise continued and they looked over to the nearby bushes where the disturbance was coming from. Kal whispered to him, "D-do you know what that is?" Armec pushed her behind him and they both watched as an unknown creature pushed forward through the leaves towards them. They couldnt see what it was due to the trees blocking the moonlight, but they knew that it could see them easily. It made a strange noise like a mix between bird chirps and a laughing hyena. Not knowing what it was or how to react, they both ran back toward the cave, unsure if they could escape it or not. They made it to the rocky slope, but they could still hear it following them. Kalinya made it to the cave opening when Armec hit the ground as the creature grabbed his leg, causing him to cry out in terror. Kal tried to grab him, but in the corner of her eye, she noticed another creature coming at her from the side.

Armec struggled against the creature, until he noticed something. He wasn't being hurt, and he wasn't being dragged away. He leaned up and took a look at his attacker, which was being lit up by the fire inside the cave. It was a short, dark blue creature that walked on three legs, sported unusual green markings across it's body, and had a face that most resembled a large cats. It jumped onto his chest and began to lick his face, again making the odd chirping sound. Shocked beyond belief, Armec just sat frozen in place and allowed this creature to do as it pleased. Kalinya watched as the little tripod animal played with the wolf's face and began to giggle at the sight, as well as at the fact that they were running away from these cute creatures just a moment ago. She took Armec's paw and pulled him back up, with the creature clinging on to his shirt. They tried to pull it off, but it just made a higher pitched chirping and insisted on staying stuck to him. Eventually Armec just took his shirt off completely and placed it on the ground, while Kaliya laughed as the animal tried to untangle itself from the fabric. They both headed back into the cave, smiling about what just happened. The wolf turned to his friend. "Well, that was interesting." Kalinya giggles some more and started to get ready for bed. "Very interesting! I wonder what we should call those things? They're really cute." Armec didn't really know how to respond, but on top of everything else that happened today, he would have to wait until tomorrow to think about it any more, as his brain was completely exhausted now.
The Leopard put out the fire and was about to take off her pants for a more comfortable sleep, but just barely remembered that she wasn't wearing anything underneath, so she avoided a great deal of embarassment by only stripping off her shirt. She and her wolf friend both took opposite sides of the cave and began to rest. The last things they heard were the rustling of leaves and the growing chirping noises outside. They both knew that it would be a busy day tomorrow.
