I'm here with some fox siblings! Meant to serve as a ref for myself and anyone else interested. Most of my personal character refs will probably look more like this than the sheet I made for Mitsy, although my commissions will look more like the Mitsy one (cleaner lines, flat colors).
Wanted to design college-aged Bramble here to show the overall growth of both siblings. Kurt is taller than adult Bramble by a decent amount, so no matter how old these sibs are, they always look small and petite next to Kurt.
When they are both young (Fig as a toddler, Bramble as a preteen), Bramble has almost no confidence and overcompensates with a foul mouth, harsh words, rough housing, and getting into fights. However, Fig's sweet affection, soft body, and quiet demeanor softens him, and Kurt's involvement in his life allows Bramble to feel vulnerable. Still, he is a bit possessive of Fig and spoils her, and gets embarrassed when Kurt puts him in girly clothes.
The concept here is that Bramble becomes a bit more feminine with age; maybe it's because Kurt dressed him up like a girly slut for so long, or maybe it's because Bramble realized he didn't need to compensate for anything after reaching a certain level of emotional maturity. Meanwhile, preteen Fig is leaning hard into the edgy, alternative scene and beginning to sleep around. She tries to be more mature than she actually is, perhaps to combat her bratty nature due to being spoiled her whole life. This feeds well into her edgier looks and attitude. Lots of sex helps keep her calm and sweet most of the time, though, lol.
