Some perhaps sillier and less rational than others... Mine feels particularly irrational though. You know when you're at a swimming pool, and lots of times they'll have those black lines on the bottom of them, painted or tiled, often used for racing or doing laps? Well, as a kid, I was TERRIFIED of those things.\n\nPlus, I'm also not a fan of deep water, anything much below shoulder level, (you can imagine I'm definitely scared of the ocean as well) and being in a deep pool would unnerve me. So add being above those racing lanes on top of that... rrgh. I have distinct recollections of being panicking, hugging my dad and wanting to get away from those things.\n\nI'm not even sure what I hated so much about them. Maybe that they vaguely resemble some sort of creature, or abyss-like holes?... I don't' know for sure to this day, but what I do know is how strongly it was ingrained into my brain to find the sight of them to be greatly ominous and unnerving. \n\nFinal note: I've been using past tense, but after remembering this fear, I went and looked at pictures of some of these things... and... yeah.
