The visual novel that I started planning back in 2019 has come to fruition in the form of the first episode being playable. This first part is approximately the first 1/3 or so of the game, the month of September 2007, tallying up to just over 60,000 words spread across branching events. The reason why I chose this milestone as the first release is due to the game structure. At the end of this section the player is presented with the choice of the route for the second part, that is to say they are choosing which boy to pursue in a closer relationship. Everything leading up to then serves the purpose of getting to know the characters and giving each other a realistic amount of time to warm up to each other. \n\nI'll be really clear here, [b]there are no explicit sexual acts in the September arc[/b]. There is some nudity, flirtation, and sexually charged dialogue, but this is not the bulk of the content you'll see here. What makes up the bulk of the story thus far is a group of good friends hanging out like school boys do. I've drawn heavily from my own childhood experiences and sense of nostalgia for that time period here. I took photos of places in the town where I grew up to make up the backgrounds. \n\nIf you've played the most enduring furry VN out there, Morenatsu, you can see the inspiration I've had from that. All of the lewd stuff is given so much more weight when you've had time to immerse yourself in the characters and feel like you're really a part of their world, at least to me. It feels more like a natural progression that way. The anticipation of the erotic is as powerful, if not more so, than the act itself. I wanted to capture that sense of belonging here. I wanted to make a world that felt genuine, characters with intricate lives that stretched back long before the player's presence. I poured hundreds of hours into the realization of that vision, and I'm so excited to share it with you all.
