Not every quest for ascension ends in success. Timal's quest started alongside Gokarrok's and Xilnorig's, but while their efforts each caught the attention and favor of the Blood God, Timal was less focused. Her indecision straddled a dangerous line for too long and when the threshold was reached, no god was her patron. She looked into the Warp with no defense, no protection, no filter. The raw stuff of nightmares coursed through her mind, body, and the twisted and corroded knot that used to be her soul. She ended not as a glorious Daemon Princess, but as a lowly Chaos Spawn. Though her quest was a failure, her journey continues to this day.
Timal's entire being was wracked horribly by chaotic corruption making her into a monster and abberation in a multitude of ways. She has nightmarishly fast regeneration, regrowing limbs and healing injuries in mere seconds. Warriors have reportedly lost weapons when she healed around them, her skin and substance taking them in as part of herself, eventually re-emerging later and falling wherever she happens to be.
To say she has organs would be inaccurate as her entire body's interior is a substance more akin to oily clay than anything organic. Bones are inconsistent and her organs appear to be almost random but structured around her needs at the moment, though even those are inconsistent. Sometimes she eats in the standard way, swallowing the food through her mouth and taking it into a stomach that forms somewhere in her torso specifically to accommodate the meal. Other times the meal is swallowed and simply merged and absorbed into her claymatter, being converted in the process. Sometimes she only consumes the soul of a victim. It should be noted that even her orifices are of varying uses as each can be used to take in and process sustenance and nutrition. When the interior is so free-form, it doesn't matter where things line up externally. Defecation seems not to be a concern as all nourishment seems to be converted directly into her matter. No waste, no mess.
Her body is able to grow tentacles out of any soft surface. These tentacles are mostly used to grapple prey or opponents, thought she has taken something like joy from toying with others in this way.
Having been a gnoll chieftess in her mortal life, her genitals were more like the standard hyena's. Since her corruption, this organ and system have similarly changed. Now a prehensile tentacle, the appendage can both penetrate and envelope. It can stiffen into a cock if need be, or it can slither inside to deposit liquid Chaos, or even pump one or more eggs into the subject. The end of the tentacle can also flare out and become a sucker, milking seed and taking it inside. It can also open up wide enough to swallow victims whole. Sometimes her womb is right where it would be on any standard female, but only sometimes. Her balls can either absorb victims, acts as wombs to carry young, contain and corrupt unbirthed/cock vored victims, or produce the black liquid Chaos that sires her nightmare progeny.
As horrifying as her new anatomy is, her behavior and mind are infinitely worse. No mortal mind can withstand an unfiltered glimpse into the Warp, regardless of physical sight or psychic sight. Timal stared directly into the writhing roiling maelstrom for more than a week as no god took her. Her mind is a twisted hellscape of hedonistic emptiness and biting malice. The only reason anyone knows her mind exists in the first place is because some psychically capable people made the horrendous mistake of trying to probe her mind or use other mind-affecting powers. Their consciousness sucked into the crawling horror of Timal's mind, only escaping seconds later after undergoing months of ordeals inside her cruel mindscape. Several who have done so have reported seeing a beautiful female gnoll with black spots on her brown fur and tribal decorations. She seems happy, though it's unclear if she knows what is happening.
Externally, Timal's giggling and cackling loping chills even the hardest warrior. Her head tilting as she stalks, barely aware of existence as her overly long tongue lolls from her grinning maw. Sometimes she never acknowledges others nearby. Sometimes she pursues in an directed, possibly single-minded, obsessive pursuit that can be abandoned without warning or indication.
Timal's awareness is so disoriented that she causes psychic powers and magic to manifest with no direction or focus, simply by existing. These discharges of magic are half-formed spells, bursts of the fuzzy memory of a spell missing all the subtleties and purpose of a refined magician. Combined with the trail of Chaos and magical energy she leaves in her wake, she seems to be a living conduit for raw and unformed magic. Unformed magic is exceedingly dangerous as it can cause mutations, transformations, and corruption. Though it does not typically get that bad, she has doomed multiple worlds simply by setting foot on them. Most times she comes and leaves without leaving a trace. Those times where her presence does have lasting consequences, the doom comes in an escalating progression of contamination and horror.
One ability in particular has caught the attention of a holy order, one that understands the danger Timal poses. It is important to note that "holy" and "light" are similar but not the same. Something can be "of Light" without being "holy." Timal has the ability to casually wander between Warpspace and Realspace as easily as stepping through a door. She is likely not even aware she's doing it but the very fact she is is cause for great concern.
She takes things and people with her when she leaves, having an area she seems to use as a home. She deposits her acquisitions here, in a structure that is a mishmash of different locations and environs all put together in no logical way, but the only into or out of her hideout is through her Warpstep. The things and people she brings here are of wildly differing significance. Everything from useless junk to priceless artifacts, to legendary weapons are brought here. Even her victims range from lowly peasants all the way up to revered dignitaries, politicians, and royalty. Some heroes have vanished in her embrace and may be trying to quest through her amalgam of a home trying to find some acquired tool, device, spell, or machine to help them escape.
A leonine knight has been tasked with hunting the spawn down and destroying her. But this is proving easier said than done.
