I apologize in advance for the short upload. It's been a rough couple of months for me. More recently I had to replace a laptop and have been on bed-rest for a while thanks to a fever I was experiencing. ≥Ñ≥Ñ≥Ñ≥Ñ≥Ñ≥Ñ≥Ñ≥Ñ≥Ñ≥Ñ≥Ñ≥Ñ≥Ñ≥Ñ≥Ñ≥Ñ≥Ñ≥Ñ≥Ñ≥Ñ≥Ñ≥Ñ≥Ñ≥Ñ≥Ñ≥Ñ≥Ñ≥Ñ≥Ñ≥Ñ≥Ñ≥Ñ≥Ñ≥Ñ≥Ñ≥Ñ≥Ñ≥Ñ≥Ñ≥Ñ≥Ñ≥Ñ≥Ñ≥Ñ≥Ñ≥Ñ≥Ñ≥Ñ≥Ñ≥Ñ≥Ñ≥Ñ≥Ñ≥Ñ≥Ñ≥Ñ≥Ñ≥Ñ≥Ñ≥Ñ≥Ñ I stood there stunned, Mew was a mythical pokemon. Nobody had evidence of it's existance outside of myth or folk-lore, or so I had thought. But the pokemon standing in front of me didn't resemble what Mew supposedly looked like. It was almost six times larger than in the myths, the dark purple lending a sinister look to what should have been a friendly pink. "My coloration is thanks to the incomplete darkball." It says derailing my train of thought, pointing over its shoulder at the darkball on the plinith. "It was a feature to make sure that the expendable dittos could be identified if they managed to escape the ball." The darkball raises slowly into the air and starts orbiting the pokemon."I don't intend to hurt you, if the apocolypse is as bad as I've seen through your eyes then the only logical way for me to insure my own safety is to stick close to larger groups of pokemon and people who are already on-guard to the 'deathless'" "Y-you want to come with us?" I ask my voice cracking in surprise. "I would, since I'm forever bound to the darkball it would be unwise to have to constantly worry about having the ball broken while fighting. But I'd request that you give me a name." She replied "Mewtwo is such an original name, I hate having to be reminded that I'm not original." The ball floated over to me and I reach out to take it hesitently. The others stood (or floated) behind me still ready to attack if she proved to be a threat, when I turned to them they visibly relaxed. I knew they couldn't hear her words since they were in my head and they didn't gasp when she claimed to be a mew clone. "Well, two pokemon at the same way-point. This is, for lack of a better name at this time, Mewtwo. Mewtwo intends to join us peacefully. Is everyone ready to head back to the center?" Angel moved closer to Mewtwo to curiously sniff her shoulder but otherwise everyone provided an answer and the majority saying yes. "Back to the balls then while I get us back upstairs." I started recalling the pokemon with the exception of Mewtwo since she held up a hand. "How will you get back up the elevator shaft? I can help you with my powers, Joseph." She reminds me. "That's going to take some getting used to. I guess what you can do would be appreciated." I say shrugging and walking back to the elevator, as we pass the slagged darkballs I hear her picking up the metal and powdering it with her abilities. I somehow know she's gathering the rare matterials from them and destroying any recoverable details so if and when society could rebuild properly it would be even harder to create darkballs. The shiny dust forming a ball that then turned into what looked like a collar around her neck, the material could be stored in the darkball with her like a scarf or sooth-bell. We reached the elevator shaft and I start to enter the shaft to climb to the ground floor but then I feel Mewtwo's powers shut the doors before I can enter them. I glance back at her but a couple seconds later I hear the elevator ding as it rumbles down behind me. Stepping into the elevator I start thinking of a nickname for the Mewtwo as she stepped into the elevator behind me. I was thinking of a "K" name, something that didn't you wouldn't give to a pet, Mewtwo seemed to hold herself as more of a person than most pokemon. Kim? too simple. Kate? I don't think so. Katrina? no, that's not entirely original since my Aunt's name is Katrina... "Kathy? I like it. It does leave me open for being informally called Kat which was could be a misspelling of Cat which is a feline. Mew was a feline pokemon, it's rather clever... What do you mean this is going to take some getting used to?...scared that I'll blurt something out like the fact you're sleeping with two of the surviving pokemon. That is a valid point. Ah, I see what I'm doing wrong! I'm pulling your thoughts from inside your mind instead of letting you think about what you want to say, your mind can't censor your thoughs normally so what I pull from your mind could come across as rude or blunt" She says rapidly before pausing to let me speak. "Yeah, normally people can't psychicaly listen in on another person's thoughts. I'm glad you like the name though...Kat" I reply slightly relieved I didn't have to explain all of that to her myself. "And don't think I didn't notice the fact that you think of me more as a person than a pokemon..." She said wrapping her arms around me in a hug "Thank you." I was at a loss. Kat, who I only met recently and who was a legendary pokemon's clone, had just hugged me like I was an old friend. But then the elevator opened and she let go, the moment coming to the end heralded by the ding of an elevator. I stepped out of the metal box and let the other pokemon out of their balls again, Kathy walked around to the different machines eyes glowing brightly for a couple seconds accompanied by a burst of smoke from the various computers. I was worried that we were missing out on the information contained within them that might be able to free Kat from the dark-ball, but on the other hand it looked like she was blowing off steam by spiting the people who had created the damned things. We moved out once Kathy had wandered back over to us, making a couple more stops to pick up even more supplies from residential areas. I thought it was strange that dispite being psychic, Kat perferred to walk rather than float. Another couple of hours we walked back into our temporary settlement a couple boxes of jerky and berries, my backpack full of as many data-drives as I could salvage before Kat destroyed the rest.
