Silhouetted against the trees behind her, the growling and howling beast stood a good head taller than even the lankier wolves, her body covered only with a few shreds of clothing, leaving her chest and crotch uncovered, all sense of modesty having long left the canine's mind. The feral creature had once answered to the name of Samantha, but a chance encounter with a similar beast some time ago had turned her into a werewolf, transforming her into a hulking animal and commanding her to obey her wild instincts whenever the full moon came out. With drool running down her chin, her sharp fangs glistening in the night as she snarled and sniffed the air, Samantha moved through the darkness swiftly, sprinting on all fours like a feral wolf before occasionally stopping to survey her surroundings. She was carefully drifting further away from the safety of the dense forest and towards the sleepy suburbs that her territory was nestled against, glaring at the houses off in the distance as she sniffed the air, licking her lips as her claws dug into the ground, eyeing up the handful of windows that were still lit up. Operating on instinct alone, the werewolf wasn't looking for a meal as she slowly approached the suburbs, as she'd already filled up her belly on deer and other critters earlier on during the night, she was on the hunt for a different sort of prey. Forced to obey the wild urges storming in her chest, Samantha felt the need to turn more of the unsuspecting populace into her kind, looking to spread the lycanthropic gift she'd been given, and all it required was just one bite. Nervous about skulking around amongst people, the werewolf stayed hunched down as she snuck up to the backyards of the houses nearest to the forest, staying behind fences and bushes as she peeked in through the windows, searching for the right victim. She saw a badger family getting ready for bed, a swan couple spending a romantic night together, and even a few rowdy teens partying and drinking the weekend away, but none of them seemed quite right, making her sneak further into the neighbourhood. Though she was a beast, her hunting instincts told her to wait for a good target, preferably someone all alone and unable to put up any kind of a fight, rather than risking it with a target that could get her hurt or even captured. Slowly moving through the suburbs, staying out of the lights and sneaking across several backyards, mostly just finding empty houses and risky prey, the woman finally spotted a place at the very end of the street, fairly isolated and quiet, with just one light turned on in the bedroom facing the backyard. \n\nLounging around on his bed, a pillow tucked under his chest with his chin resting on his hand, Lars flipped through a comic book he'd read through a hundred times in the past already, sighing with a bored look on his face.
