Most of the adults were still at work at that time of day, letting the 12 year old bear race as fast as he wanted to without worry of ploughing headfirst into some poor pedestrian, though that still didn't guarantee that he wouldn't find something else to crash into, as the bandaid on the little speed freak's knee proved. Jake loved to see just how fast he could make it home from school, though on that particular day he did actually have a real reason to be in such a hurry, not that he much needed it to push his bike to its limits. The cub knew that his best friend, another boy from the neighbourhood, had gotten home particularly early that day, which meant that they'd have all the time they wanted to enjoy the Friday afternoon together as soon as he made it over to his friend's place. Even though they had the whole weekend still ahead of them, Jake was counting down the seconds as he sped through the city, as he wanted to savour every moment he and his friend had together before their parents came home, since that'd mean having to hide away the gory video games and movies that the pair had managed to sneak in over their years of friendship. The two cubs had agreed on the bear getting home and dropping off his stuff, as well as having a bite to eat, before heading over to his friend's place, but the more glimpses of the time Jake caught on passing clocks as he biked along, the more nervous he was starting to get that they'd barely have any time to mess around with the latest gory shooters before having to resort to the more age appropriate games with their parents around. \n\nPsyching himself out of trusting their original agreement, Jake barely even slowed down as he got to the familiar neighbourhood he'd grown up in, speeding right past his house and heading straight to the other end of the street, coming to a screeching halt in front of his friend's house, skidding along the pavement for some time before the brakes finally overcame his speed. Running with his bike and leaving it leaning against the side of the house, the young grizzly hopped up the front steps and tried the door, happy to see that his friend hadn't locked it, not needing to waste the precious seconds it'd take for the other boy to answer the doorbell. Running inside, tossing his heavy backpack and his jacket aside, the bear looked around the empty first floor for a brief moment, having thought that his friend would've been there, finally calling out for the lizard, \n\"Mark, you here?\" \nThe cub thought that he heard what almost sounded like a panicked squeak coming from upstairs, poking his head into the stairwell as Mark answered back, sounding like the boy was in his bedroom, \n\"J… Jake!? Just… wait a sec!\" \nRaising an eyebrow at the oddly panicked sounding tone of his friend, the bear was just about to head upstairs when he heard Mark's bedroom door opening up, four paws thudding along the floor as a great big Bernese mountain dog suddenly appeared at the top of the stairs, wagging his tail and barrelling down towards Jake as the cub braced for impact, \n\"Duke, hey, calm down boy. What's gotten you so excited~?\" \nJake let the feral hound hop up against his chest, giggling and petting the dog as Duke licked his face, suddenly catching an odd scent lingering in the air, a scent that was faintly familiar to the sorts he'd encounter while sneaking out of his bedroom and creeping past his parent's room late at night. Following his powerful nose, the grizzly peeked under the Bernese's belly fluff, spotting the dog's red rocket hanging out of his sheath, still wet at the tip, swinging around as his tail wagged, \n\"Oh, I guess you've been humping your plushies again.\"\nThe teen bear chuckled and rolled his eyes, understanding the feral's plight all too well, gently nudging Duke off of him as he patted the large canine's side, \n\"Alright, c'mon boy, let's go see Mark!\" \n\nJogging upstairs with the Bernese in tow, Jake marched towards his friend's bedroom, excited to get to gaming while they still had the time. With every step closer to the shut bedroom door, the faint scent of sex grew stronger, much to the bear's surprise, though he simply assumed that the canine's plushie companion had just been abandoned somewhere nearby, knowing that Duke wasn't one to much care about his toys after having taken care of his needs.
