"writing": "Fink scurried quickly to catch up to his old friend Pinktail. The fox's long red tail bounced as he bounded up to her through the foliage. His opossum friend had a whole cluster of joeys clinging to her back. All of them bickering in childish tones. The motherly opossum was clearly weak and weary as she endured the torture of her offspring along this grassy path. Normally an opossum carrying their kids would be a little wearier of a fox chasing up to them. But considering how comfortable the two had gotten around each other with the help of their mutual friend, the opossum didn't even flinch when the fox approached. She didn't even bother to say hello. \n\n``Hey! Pinktail! Long time, no see!'' The red fox trotted along next to opossum. The chorus of children fighting familiar and grating. \n\n``Yeah. What do you want Fink...'' Perhaps the term friends to describe these two was a little too strong. Maybe the term `friend of a friend' was more appropriate. \n\n``What? Can't a fox just say hi to an old friend?'' Fink asked. \n\n``Not this fox.'' Pinktail kept walking. The sound of fighting children making the conversation harder and harder. The kids fighting about who gets to sit where on their mother's back. A common pointless argument amongst them. \n\n``What? Just because Roz's gone, doesn't mean we can't be friends anymore, right? Surely, we could help each other out in some ways.'' The fox was being as smooth as he possibly could be. \n\n``Look Fink, unless you wanna help out by finding a way to feed 6 hungry annoying mouths right now, I really don't have time to be your Roz replacement.'' Pinktail was in a bad mood. She would've normally been much nicer to Fink, even in her typically blunt way. But the incessant bickering and fighting and pulling of her fur was starting to finally get to her. She was almost ready to let the juveniles free and defend for themselves. \n\n``Well~ I'm glad you asked actually!'' Fink was about to reveal his two-faced ploy. But before he could explain he was interrupted by a nagging little voice. \n\n``Muuum! Eve's pulling my tail again!'' A little opossum squeaked into Pinktail's ears. \n\nAnother baby opossum, presumably Eve interjected. ``Muuum! Jaymie is in my spot again and she wont move!'' \n\n``There's no such thing as spots!'' Jaymie retorted. \n\nFinally, Pinktail chimed in with a verdict. ``Ughhh... can you kids just be quiet for five minutes while I try to have a conversation?'' Her kids barely got any quieter. They were still as rambunctious as ever. ``Ughh... what were you saying Fink?'' \n\n``Well... I was thinking of helping you with feeding all those mouths... I think maybe removing one of them and, I dunno, donating them to a hungry cause might help.'' Fink suggested in that fruitless playful way he always does. He always loved threatening to eat creatures that bothered him. Pinktail wondered if those threats and requests ever actually worked on someone. The way the day was going for her it might be the first time someone accepted the fox's offer. \n\n``Ya know what Fink?'' Pinktail looked at her back fur with all her kids clinging on. She made sure they could hear her speak. ``If they don't quiet down anytime soon... I might just feed you some of them!'' Pinktail threatened them all. There was a beat of stunned silence amongst her kids. Before the bickering continued as soon as one kid poked another. ``Uggghhhhh...'' She let out an exasperated sigh. \n\n``Hehehe... Well, the offer's still there. One less twerp on your plate and more twerp on mine~'' Fink teased. He knew his request was fruitless, but it was a good conversation starter. \n\nPinktail just rolled her eyes in defeat as she kept walking. But she didn't get far as she overheard two of her kids talk. \n\nOne opossum kid got poked and quickly retorted back ``Stop! Mum's going to feed us to the fox if you don't stop!'' in a whisper. \n\nThe other similarly feminine voice just casually responded. ``Pfft! Mum wouldn't ever actually do that!'' \n\n``Oh really?! That's it!'' That was the straw that broke the opossum's back. That one thing that pushed her over the edge. She had lost control of her own kids and only now did she realise that. She wasted no time in stopping, reached a paw behind her head and grabbed onto the first opossum she could find in the direction of the dissenting voice. The young girl made a panicked squeak as Pinktail reared up and shook her kids off her back. Landing them all onto the dirty ground. ``Just for that. You're going to be dead for real now! Here, Fink, catch!'' Pinktail was furious, she had to teach her kids a lesson otherwise she'd lose complete control over them. So, she tossed the girl she caught right into the paws of Fink. The fox a little shocked that his request had actually worked. \n\n``Wait. Really?'' Fink was a little hesitant now that he actually had a pawfull of opossum in his paws. \n\n``Yep! Go ahead! It'll teach the other ones to listen to what they are told!'' Pinktail scowled as she looked over her toppled kids. ``My mum did the same thing to one of my brothers. Really set us straight!'' \n\n``Please mum! I don't want to die for real!'' The little opossum in Fink's paws begged. She looked terrified. But she was so warm and squishy too. She was just a little packet of nutrients to Fink in a state like this. Cubs were easy prey and he'd just been given the green light by the kid's mother. If there was no such thing as a free meal, this would be the closest thing to it. \n\n``Well, too bad, because you are!'' Pinktail was still so mad. She really must've been putting up with this for far too long. ``Now be a good girl and set an example for your siblings.''\n\nThat was Fink's cue. He didn't want to risk Pinktail changing her mind and so he quickly brought her daughter up to his maw. Holding her by her tail above him as he opened wide. He let everyone see just how easily he could swallow one of these little morsels. The little opossum was nearly sobbing, pleading to be let go. Arguing to be released. When finally, Fink simply let her go, dropping her into his waiting maw. Fink closed his mouth around her. Tasted her deeply with satisfaction. Felt her writhe and move as he took one large gulp. He didn't even chew. The outline of the opossum visible to everyone as she sunk deep into Fink's belly. The feeling of fullness filling the fox. He secured his food for the day at the cost of one annoying little forest creature's life. All the other opossums looked on with shock and horror. Their mum had actually followed through with the threat. \n\n``Wow, down she goes.'' A little opossum mentioned. \n\n``She barely even struggled.'' Another commented. \n\n``Such is the circle of life...'' One added with an affirmative nod. \n\n``Is Jaymie dead for real?'' A rather naive opossum asked. Just to make sure this all wasn't for pretend like usual. \n\n``Yep! Down she goes. Dead for real.'' Pinktail commented. ``See kids! That's what happens when you question my authority.'' \n\n``But Jaymie didn't question you.'' One of the little opossums spoke up. ``Eve was the one who said you wouldn't do it...'' The little opossum pointed to her sister Eve. Eve looked so shocked and guilty. \n\nBoth Pinktail and Fink shared a look of concern at their accident. He had eaten the wrong opossum cub. Pinktail just shrugged though. ``Ehh... At least you know now that if you misbehave, I actually will feed you to Uncle Fink.'' Eve, the lucky little opossum rapidly nodded as she watched her unlucky sister still move inside the fox's belly. \n\n``Mmmm... and let me just say. I'd still happily eat another one of these little twerps~ You don't know how long I waited to eat one of you~'' Fink teased a little more. ``So, you better listen to your mother!'' Fink commanded. \n\n``Exactly!'' Pinktail agreed as she got back on all fours. The universal sign for her kids to hop back on. \n\n``But seriously though, if you still want me to eat this one. I'm more than happy to~'' Fink poked eve with a paw as she scurried over to climb back up her mother. \n\nPinktail feigned thinking about it. ``Hmmm... nah. Maybe later if she doesn't behave.'' Eve stayed completely quiet. A little shell shocked about possibly being in Jaymie's place. Pinktail began again to commute to where she suspected food to be. ``You still coming Fink?'' the opossum asked. \n\n``Oh yeah totally! I'll stick around in case more twerps go on the menu. Hehe!'' \n\n``Exactly... You know, you might have a use after all...'' Pinktail continued to walk. ``Oh, and let me know when it feels like she might stop kicking around in there. Letting the kids get a good feel for how she kicks around in her final moment might actually improve how they play dead for once.'' \n\n``Oooo good idea!'' Fink knew just how good opossum paws were at giving belly rubs. Fink rolled onto his side, his big belly moving around with panic and desperation from within. ``Honestly, I'm kind of feeling it now.'' Fink lied. Pinktail rolled her eyes at the obvious lie but got her kids to get off her back and have a feel anyway. \n\nFink absolutely loved the feeling of all 10 of their little paws against his belly. ``Ooo right there~ Scratch a little higher... Yes~'' All the little opossum cubs were vying for space against the fox. Feeling their sister slowly struggle. Their morbid curiosity filling them. They wanted to feel closely and intimately how their sister acted in her final moments. This really was enriching and entertaining for them. A lot of them `ooo'ing and `ah'ing as they felt twitches and struggles. The only one of them that didn't was Eve. She was still a little terrified and shocked. She couldn't shake the feeling that it could've and should've been her in there. But instead, her sister was. She had only just pulled her sister's tail; she didn't know her sister would die from it. And yet here this happy fox was. Digesting her sister in front of her family. Fink could sense Eve's trepidation around his belly and so gave the girl a teasing helping paw. As he pushed her into his belly more right as he could feel the opossum inside begin to finally actually die. This caused all the other cubs to push in close too, all the pressure forcing the fox to burp. As the whole family, except Eve, practically celebrated the other opossum's death. \n\n``Wow! So that's what a death spasm feels like!'' Commented a particularly morbid opossum. \n\n``Yep! See! That's how you should act when you pretend to die. Now thank your sister for her sacrifice.'' Pinktail reminded them all. \n\n``Thank you, Jaymie.'' The chorus of opossums sang. \n\nFink laid there happily basking in the belly pats and the triumphant feeling of claiming a meal. ``Thank you, Jaymie~'' Fink added. His leg beginning to kick with the continued belly pats. \n\n``Alright kids. That's enough. Let's go.'' And with that Pinktail set off again, all her cubs clinging onto her. Fink quickly followed along too. Licking his lips every time he looked at one of Pinktail's kids. Now that he knew that there was an actual possibility that one of these kids might be on the menu, he actually didn't mind escorting Pinktail and her family around the meadows in looking for food and scraps. He made sure if anyone stepped out of line, he might have another snack for the day. \n\n",

Before the bickering continued as soon as one kid poked another. ``Uggghhhhh...&#039;&#039; She let out an exasperated sigh. <br /><br />``Hehehe... Well, the offer&#039;s still there. One less twerp on your plate and more twerp on mine~&#039;&#039; Fink teased. He knew his request was fruitless, but it was a good conversation starter. <br /><br />Pinktail just rolled her eyes in defeat as she kept walking. But she didn&#039;t get far as she overheard two of her kids talk. <br /><br />One opossum kid got poked and quickly retorted back ``Stop! Mum&#039;s going to feed us to the fox if you don&#039;t stop!&#039;&#039; in a whisper. <br /><br />The other similarly feminine voice just casually responded. ``Pfft! Mum wouldn&#039;t ever actually do that!&#039;&#039; <br /><br />``Oh really?! That&#039;s it!&#039;&#039; That was the straw that broke the opossum&#039;s back. You&#039;re going to be dead for real now! Here, Fink, catch!&#039;&#039; Pinktail was furious, she had to teach her kids a lesson otherwise she&#039;d lose complete control over them. So, she tossed the girl she caught right into the paws of Fink. The fox a little shocked that his request had actually worked. <br /><br />``Wait. Really?&#039;&#039; Fink was a little hesitant now that he actually had a pawfull of opossum in his paws. <br /><br />``Yep! Go ahead! It&#039;ll teach the other ones to listen to what they are told!&#039;&#039; Pinktail scowled as she looked over her toppled kids. ``My mum did the same thing to one of my brothers. Really set us straight!&#039;&#039; <br /><br />``Please mum! I don&#039;t want to die for real!&#039;&#039; The little opossum in Fink&#039;s paws begged. She looked terrified. But she was so warm and squishy too. She was just a little packet of nutrients to Fink in a state like this. Cubs were easy prey and he&#039;d just been given the green light by the kid&#039;s mother. If there was no such thing as a free meal, this would be the closest thing to it. <br /><br />``Well, too bad, because you are!&#039;&#039; Pinktail was still so mad. She really must&#039;ve been putting up with this for far too long. ``Now be a good girl and set an example for your siblings.&#039;&#039;<br /><br />That was Fink&#039;s cue. He didn&#039;t want to risk Pinktail changing her mind and so he quickly brought her daughter up to his maw. He didn&#039;t even chew. The outline of the opossum visible to everyone as she sunk deep into Fink&#039;s belly. The feeling of fullness filling the fox. He secured his food for the day at the cost of one annoying little forest creature&#039;s life. All the other opossums looked on with shock and horror. Their mum had actually followed through with the threat. <br /><br />``Wow, down she goes.&#039;&#039; A little opossum mentioned. <br /><br />``She barely even struggled.&#039;&#039; Another commented. <br /><br />``Such is the circle of life...&#039;&#039; One added with an affirmative nod. <br /><br />``Is Jaymie dead for real?&#039;&#039; A rather naive opossum asked. Just to make sure this all wasn&#039;t for pretend like usual. <br /><br />``Yep! Down she goes. Dead for real.&#039;&#039; Pinktail commented. ``See kids! That&#039;s what happens when you question my authority.&#039;&#039; <br /><br />``But Jaymie didn&#039;t question you.&#039;&#039; One of the little opossums spoke up. ``Eve was the one who said you wouldn&#039;t do it...&#039;&#039; The little opossum pointed to her sister Eve. Eve looked so shocked and guilty. <br /><br />Both Pinktail and Fink shared a look of concern at their accident. He had eaten the wrong opossum cub. Pinktail just shrugged though. ``Ehh... At least you know now that if you misbehave, I actually will feed you to Uncle Fink.&#039;&#039; Eve, the lucky little opossum rapidly nodded as she watched her unlucky sister still move inside the fox&#039;s belly.&nbsp;&nbsp;<br /><br />``Mmmm... and let me just say. I&#039;d still happily eat another one of these little twerps~ You don&#039;t know how long I waited to eat one of you~&#039;&#039; Fink teased a little more. ``So, you better listen to your mother!&#039;&#039; Fink commanded. <br /><br />``Exactly!&#039;&#039; Pinktail agreed as she got back on all fours. The universal sign for her kids to hop back on. <br /><br />``But seriously though, if you still want me to eat this one. I&#039;m more than happy to~&#039;&#039; Fink poked eve with a paw as she scurried over to climb back up her mother. <br /><br />Pinktail feigned thinking about it. ``Hmmm... nah. Maybe later if she doesn&#039;t behave.&#039;&#039; Eve stayed completely quiet. A little shell shocked about possibly being in Jaymie&#039;s place. Pinktail began again to commute to where she suspected food to be. ``You still coming Fink?&#039;&#039; the opossum asked. <br /><br />``Oh yeah totally! I&#039;ll stick around in case more twerps go on the menu. Hehe!&#039;&#039; <br /><br />``Exactly... You know, you might have a use after all...&#039;&#039; Pinktail continued to walk. ``Oh, and let me know when it feels like she might stop kicking around in there. Letting the kids get a good feel for how she kicks around in her final moment might actually improve how they play dead for once.&#039;&#039; <br /><br />``Oooo good idea!&#039;&#039; Fink knew just how good opossum paws were at giving belly rubs. Fink rolled onto his side, his big belly moving around with panic and desperation from within. ``Honestly, I&#039;m kind of feeling it now.&#039;&#039; Fink lied. Pinktail rolled her eyes at the obvious lie but got her kids to get off her back and have a feel anyway. <br /><br />Fink absolutely loved the feeling of all 10 of their little paws against his belly. ``Ooo right there~ Scratch a little higher... Yes~&#039;&#039; All the little opossum cubs were vying for space against the fox. Feeling their sister slowly struggle. Their morbid curiosity filling them. They wanted to feel closely and intimately how their sister acted in her final moments. This really was enriching and entertaining for them. A lot of them `ooo&#039;ing and `ah&#039;ing as they felt twitches and struggles. The only one of them that didn&#039;t was Eve. She was still a little terrified and shocked. She couldn&#039;t shake the feeling that it could&#039;ve and should&#039;ve been her in there. But instead, her sister was. She had only just pulled her sister&#039;s tail; she didn&#039;t know her sister would die from it. And yet here this happy fox was. Digesting her sister in front of her family. Fink could sense Eve&#039;s trepidation around his belly and so gave the girl a teasing helping paw. As he pushed her into his belly more right as he could feel the opossum inside begin to finally actually die. This caused all the other cubs to push in close too, all the pressure forcing the fox to burp. As the whole family, except Eve, practically celebrated the other opossum&#039;s death. <br /><br />``Wow! So that&#039;s what a death spasm feels like!&#039;&#039; Commented a particularly morbid opossum. <br /><br />``Yep! See! That&#039;s how you should act when you pretend to die. Now thank your sister for her sacrifice.&#039;&#039; Pinktail reminded them all. <br /><br />``Thank you, Jaymie.&#039;&#039; The chorus of opossums sang. <br /><br />Fink laid there happily basking in the belly pats and the triumphant feeling of claiming a meal. ``Thank you, Jaymie~&#039;&#039; Fink added. His leg beginning to kick with the continued belly pats. <br /><br />``Alright kids. That&#039;s enough. Let&#039;s go.&#039;&#039; And with that Pinktail set off again, all her cubs clinging onto her. Fink quickly followed along too. Licking his lips every time he looked at one of Pinktail&#039;s kids. Now that he knew that there was an actual possibility that one of these kids might be on the menu, he actually didn&#039;t mind escorting Pinktail and her family around the meadows in looking for food and scraps. He made sure if anyone stepped out of line, he might have another snack for the day. <br /><br /></span>",
