``She had a mate, a family even, but a band of thugs... killed them. I... I was there.'' Dwayne said, his gaze shifting to the ground. ``And I failed.'' He muttered, continuing to walk. Julius took a second to process what he'd said before catching up to him.

``A band of thugs? Who the hell would kill an innocent family?'' Julius asked angrily, his hands balling up into fists.

``They go by the name of Team Plasma. Evil bunch of lunatics who are almost impossible to track.'' Dwayne replied, anger lacing his voice. ``I tried but... I was too late. She was the only one I could save.'' He sighed, letting his anger fade. ``Ever since, she's stayed in that cave, alone. It was beyond lucky that she saved your life.''

``Figured as much, here.'' Dwayne said, pushing a pokeball into Juliu's hands. ``It's my Skarmory. She can get you anywhere in Sinnoh, just be sure to bring her back before midnight.'' He said with a smirk, waving him away as he heard a noise come from the infirmary.

Thanking him, Julius dashed out of the outpost and took to the air as quickly as he could, the sun already setting past the mountains. It took some time before Julius found the Charizard's cave, which Skarmory swooped into as quietly as possible.

Giving a hushed thank you to the steel-type, Julius took a deep breath before slowly tip-toeing further into the cave. He could see a faint orange light gently flickering inside, easing his worry that she might not be home.

Peaking around the corner, Julius could just barely see the tip of the fire-type's blunt horn spoking above the lip of her nest. Charizard sighed, releasing a column of inky black smoke from her mouth as she rolled over in her empty nest, until she heard something scrape against the floor of her cave.

``And I want to help, but we can't do that here.'' He continued, taking a careful step forward. Charizard shrinked a bit as he took another step, her eyes locking with the pokeball in his hand.

Swallowing her fear, Charizard stepped closer to him, her wings still shaking as she stared at the plain red and white ball in his hand.
