The creepy cover with cast getting infected with the Metal Virus.\n\nMe: The Metal Virus saga…\n\nFrame 2: I toss the comic aside as I continue talking with the readers.\n\nMe: Now, I'm not familiar with the Sonic comic series before IDW gained control. I only vaguely know the characters thanks to sites like this, but I keep getting the same question in my head over and over again…\n\nFrame 3: A close up of me, staring at the readers in almost a panicked state, my eyes being bloodshot for more dramatic effect.\n\nMe: Were The Sonic Comics Always Dark And Depressing?!\n\nFrame 4: With my hat in my hand, I wave my arms around as I pace about.\n\nMe: I mean, Good Lord! We also see the shadow of Dr. Eggman as he laughs maniacally. You forget what kind of genius I am!\n\nFrame 2: Orbot crosses his arms as Starline's device flashes green. Starline has a stunned look on his face as Eggman turns towards him.\n\nOrbot: Believe me, I think we all know what kind of “genius” you are…\n\nStarline: My word. I… I don't believe it…\n\nEggman: Ha, ha! I knew it! So, at what point will this furball become my slave and infect everyone, including that meddlesome hedgehog?\n\nFrame 3: Starline talks to Eggman as Eggman has a dumbstruck look on his face. Cubot is seen carrying the metal flower and bringing it to them.\n\nStarline: Unfortunately, that won't be happening anytime soon. I'm not certain what it is you've created, but this rabbit is not only showing no signs of the desired infection you were looking for, but is showing no diseases whatsoever. His vital readings are off the charts, even better compared to when we first captured him.\n\nConnecting Speech Bubble: Not only is he free from all diseases, but his immune system is so secure, he won't be infected by any disease ever.\n\nEggman: What?! But, that can't be! What about the flower?! It turned to metal as I hoped!\n\nFrame 4: Cubot holds up the metal flower as it starts cracking, looking like it's about to fall apart.\n\nCubot: Are you talking about this thing?\n\n\nPage 6: 8 Frames\n\nFrame 1: The metal surrounding the flower breaks apart as it grows 4 times bigger than its normal size. Eggman, Starline, Orbot, and Cubot look up at the big flower in shock.\n\nFrame 2: Eggman stares off towards the readers, his moustache droops down as Starline talks to him.\n\nStarline: Sir? Are you okay?\n\nFrame 3: A faraway shot of Eggman's face ship is seen.\n\nEggman: AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!! And once that happens, then nothing will stop me from creating my Eggmanland theme park!\n\nOrbot: Yeah, this is what usually happens around here. Welcome to the team.\n\nStarline: I believe I've made a horrible mistake…\n\nCubot: Hey, mind if I call you Snively? You look like a Snively to me.\n\n\nPage 8: 6 Frames\n\nFrame 1: We see the bunny, the piggy, and the squirrel falling in the sky, with panicked expressions on their faces, with the large container of his failed Metal Virus behind them.\n\nFrame 2: We see a group of Flickies flying in the sky. The blue, green, red, and pink Flickies.\n\nFrame 3: The bunny, the piggy, and the squirrel end up colliding with the blue, green, and red Flickies. The pink Flicky looks on in shock. The large container is seen heading towards the pink Flicky.\n\nFrame 4: We see the container hit the pink Flicky, propelling her downward.\n\nFrame 5: The blue, green, and red Flickies recover as they fly the bunny, the piggy, and the squirrel to the safety on the ground.\n\nFrame 6: The pink Flicky and the container crashes near the other animals.
