Absolutely not, nothing in the slightest. But that didn’t mean Lumi didn’t want to be something a little different.\n\nIt was the right environment for him, up on the glacier, though he stripped out of his heavy winter clothes, the wind picking up to send a chilling snarl across his white muzzle. The vulpine bared his teeth, though his jaw was small and narrow, his body slight: not what he saw when he imagined himself in his mind’s eye.\n\n“This time…I’m not going back.”\n\nLumi’s tail flicked and he shook off the cold. There were potions and magic enough in the world for him not to have to worry about succumbing to frostbite, though that would most certainly be something he’d try to avoid. His body warmed already, fur fluffing up naturally to keep him warm, despite the magic coursing through his bloodstream, veins and nervous system doing all they needed to transport magical power throughout his body.\n\nThe potion came in the form of a small coin, though Lumi shoved the warning back into his backpack with his clothes, tail lifting proudly. It was the last time he would ever do it as a fox: he’d make sure of that.\n\nLumi’s lips broke into a light, easy grin as he tossed the coin in his mouth and bit down. For it was not currency of any kind but soft and chewable, a liquid centre exploding in his mouth. However, it was not flavourful in the slightest and he screwed up his muzzle as Lumi forced himself to chew and swallow, feeling the weight of the transformation “coin” slide down his throat into the pit of his belly.\n\nIt was instant. Not the transformation but, at the very least, the start of it. He gasped, the fox’s narrow muzzle falling open, swells of heat pouring through him. Lumi pulled at his fur as if he was trying to break out of his own skin, toppling forward against, to his eye, the smooth, white expanse of the glacier.
