"description": "This time of year for me is very happy...not only because it was around this time Aidanna found me after I fell off my own world and became a wolf cub, but also because of the Yuletide and Christmas. I'd learned that there were many traditions that paralleled both this world and the world I came from...not only Santa Claus (Claws?) but the idea of the \"Elf on the Shelf.\"\n\nI met up with Lhiann one day and told her while we played in the snow.\n\n\"How...unnerving.\" She said. \"I wouldn't want to sit around on a shelf all year and spy on you.\"\n\n\"Yeah,\" I agreed. \"It's pretty creepy. I think it's unnecessary...my mommy already knows Santa.\"\n\nThen Lhiann's face brightened...\"Wanna play elf on the shelf?\"\n\nI thought about it...and had to grin. \"Sure!\"\n\nIt was a tricky plan, since wolves and forest-dwelling elves had very keen senses, but a dusting of baby powder would diminish our scent in the same room mommy used for a daycare. Lhiann silently leapt atop the shelf, where I had to summon my wings and flit to a gentle landing. We kept a low profile while mommy came in with presents to stack under the tree for Christmas Eve.
