His father didn't always approve, but let Kai dress as female, since he thought it was just a phase.\n\nAs he grew older, the other males were training, becoming better hunters, protectors, and better males. However, Kai would always stay behind with the females of the village, hang out with them. He was sensitive, and would always help the girls with their problems, when there was no one else to turn to. The females liked him, and even would let him wear their clothes, since he seemed to enjoy their style of dress.\n\nThe other males of his generation had soon paired up with some of these females, but Kai did not find any of them attractive. His mother told him he would in time. One day, when fetching water from the well, he saw a male Kirlia not too far away. Despite his fathers efforts, he didn't want her, when even the mated Lopunny in his village saw that female Gardevoir as beautiful.\n\nMonths had passed, and despite the Gardevoir’s advances, he didn’t fall for her. He wasn’t attracted to her. Finally, the Gardevoir grew impatient. She invited him over one day to her family’s house when no one else was home. She led him to her bed room, and locked the door behind them. She was determined to get him to sleep with her. He heard the door lock behind them, and turned to face her. Before he knew it, she forced him onto the bed. He struggled to free himself, but she wouldn’t let him go until they were mated.\n\nGardevoir’s twin brother, a handsome Gallade, had come home early, and heard the struggle in his sister’s room. He ran to her door, and seeing it was locked, kicked the door down. He saw the two of them close, and an obvious struggle, but he thought that Kai was trying to take advantage of her, rather than the reverse. Kai looked up, and saw the Gallade, and was instantly attracted to him. However, the Gallade immediately went and separated them, and he started beating on the poor Lopunny.\n\nImmediately, Gardevoir tried to get her brother off of Kai, but… One hit, and… Kai’s Cute Charm ability had caused the Gallade to be attracted to him. Gallade brought his lips to Kai’s, and, without hesitation, he returned his emotion. Gardevoir stayed, and watched in disgust as the scene unfolded. It is too graphic to disclose, but she quickly realized at that moment: Kai was gay.\n\nWhile the two males were, how you say, busy, he went to tell Kai’s father about what was happening. And that was when his life was ruined.\n\n[center]------------------------[/center]\n\nThat same day, the entire village was aware of what the two males had done. The Gallade was under influence, and was forgiven for his actions. But Kai… He was brought before his father, and before the whole village, was told to fight him. Kai was never a fighter, and was not as willing.\n\nIt was such a one sided fight. All the males cheered as his father beat on him, but the females who had grown up with him were horrified. His mother was so horrified by the scene, she tried to stop his father, begging him to stop through tears, but he refused.\n\nWith one blow to the head, Kai was brought to his limit. He was unable to battle. The last words he heard his father say were full of hatred. He said to him “Man up, or never come here again, fem boy. I have no son.” He saw his father turn away as he blacked out.\n\n[center]------------------------[/center]\n\nWhen he finally awoke, he was in the middle of nowhere, naked, and in horrible pain. After struggling to get some berries to heal himself, his ear got caught in a bush by a river. He decided to rest there for a minute when he noticed there was something on his leg.\n\nHe looked down, and around his ankle was wrapped a beautiful ankle bracelet, full of brightly colored threads. And tied to it was a small note. It was written by the Gardevoir who had betrayed him. It read: I’m sorry…\n\n[center]------------------------[/center]\n\nTo this day, Kai travels, lost in thought most of the time. Because of his father’s words, he tries to make himself act brave, even when he’s not brave. He tries to act like a man would, tries to force himself to like attractive females, but he can’t help who he is. He hates himself, but he doesn’t give up.
