some concepts i had for the time between their reunion and when they head to pride rock. they do have a lot of adventures (and misadventures) as they head back to the pridelands, but that'll be covered in future drawings :XD:\ndespite being a teenager lion and having been raised by scavengers, kopa can't let go of the traumas of his past. no matter how hard he's tried, he still has a lot of insecurities and feels conflicted about going back to his true home, as he feels undeserving of such a thing. \nif i'm honest, i decided not to include kiara in the story's plotpoint (she is in the story, i mean, but she doesn't accompany kion and kopa), because i still have to decide whether i want her to be around kopa's age or kion's. if i want to stick to the main canon i'd have to make her be a little older than kion, but god, i don't know anymore ^^;\n\ni also have to say i made kopa insecure for a few reasons. the main one is because he was almost killed by zira and that made him feel intensely frightened of going back. the second, because it was the buzzard boyz who informed him that simba and nala had gotten over his death (a misunderstanding caused by a 'oh, they have a daughter now, so that means they're over their son' mindset). and the third, because in some way, this is a reflection of my own experiences as well. so in some way, this is some sort of vent art if that makes
