Since Scar can't be his father due to that fact making his relationship with Kiara incestuous (and in fact, during the film they constantly deny Scar as the father), the youtuber in question decided to go back to 6NA and that's when something caught my eye. They talked about Chumvi, and while the most obvious claims weren't so hard to figure out (the similar pelt colour, etc.), I decided to investigate by myself and I read Nala's Dare, the 6NA book where Chumvi makes an appearance. \n\nAfter I read it, I adopted this headcanon (that Chumvi is Kovu's father) for a few reasons. Aside from the pelt colour being similar, it was entirely pausible considering that, maybe, he could have become Zira's mate right before Simba returned. When Simba becomes an adult, it's likely Chumvi also does, if not a bit older even due to his already incipient hair tuft as a cub. It sorts of make sense, and I've actually heard other people's HC about it. Maybe Scar mated with Zira and had Kovu, maaaaaybe he mated with her again and had Vitani, but since she wasn't giving him a proper heir (Nuka being weak and Vitani being female), she decided to mate with a stronger submale from the pride to have Kovu. And that's when Chumvi comes into play.\n\nHowever... That's not all. What caught me off guard is the similarities between Chumvi's mindset and Zira's in The Lion Guard. In Nala's Dare, at one point Chumvi claims that lions are ''superior beings''. ...Doesn't that remind you of 'Lions Over All', the song she sings about lions being superior and having the right to reign over everyone else? ...Yeeeep. Me too. Maybe she didn't see him as a simple one-night stand and truly loved him or shared his mindset, who knows :XD:\n\nThis is the first time in a while I type up something so long holy shit- All I have to add is that I made this drawing PURELY by mouse, without a previous pencil sketch. It's been years since I did that!\n\n(I honestly don't see Chumvi and Kula together... in my headcanon anyway. They look like siblings/half-siblings due to the similar pelt.
