"writing": "Shra’Nishian\n\nA new mammalian species Created by Ainoko Ironrose which can be found in the short story “The Beginning of the End and A New Beginning”\n\nThe Shra’Nishian Species is a biological anomaly found in the universe on a planet named Lemdirea in Aquarius system. They are mammals but unlike any mammalian species ever encountered. In their language, they refer to themselves as “ghost” or “spirit” walkers due to the change that they go through from cubhood into adulthood. On average, about 1/3 - ½ of the cubs survive the transition into adulthood. According to ancient lore, when a cub fails to pass into adulthood, it is because the gods felt that they were not worthy of living as an adult and disappeared, never to be seen again.\n\nThe terms “ghost” and “spirit” walkers is in fact a testing period for the cubs, lasting from 6 lunar cycles (months) up to 5 solar cycles (years). For the record their days are 20 Earth standard hours long, a month is 34 days, and a year is 510 days long. Basically, their life span is approximately 370 standard Earth years. The cubs begin their transition around the age of 20-25, at that age; they are the equivalent of a pre-teen. The cubs at this point begin acting on instinct, looking for a safe location to “nest” for their transition. Once the cub “nests” for their transition, the anomaly that best describes this species becomes evident. Once the cub locates the location for their “nest” they immediately begin to form a cocoon around their entire body, once the cub is fully encased, the “cocoon” seems to phase out of physical existence. It can be seen, but not touched by any means available. How this transition occurs is beyond anything that current science can determine. \n\nAccording to the Shra’Nishian this is how the gods test the cubs for their worthiness to become adults. Once the cubs cocoon phases out of the physical plane, the cub’s spirit is sent to walk with another species. The cub must help the spirit they are walking with make the right choices until the ‘test’ is over. There have been times when the cub has passed their test and was subsequently trapped walking with a doomed spirit, when this happens, either the cub’s sire or a high Elder will have to go and help the cubs get home. This usually happens when the spirit that the cub is walking with dies unexpectedly, leaving the cub in a form of limbo. The Shra do know about virtually every species in the universe, past, present and future, as well as the fates of the species that they spirit walk with.\n\nThe cubs are a non-descript feline or canine type, it is after they pass their test, that they change. When the new adult emerges from their “Nest”/cocoon, they emerge in the form of one of the many species that inhabit their planet.\n\nShra’Nishian Species Data Ainoko Ironrose\n\n PAGE 1 \n\n",
