After taking those first wary, tenuous steps as casual friends talking at best once a week nearly 7 years ago, little did
\n\t\t\t\t\tlafeel and I ever dream that one day one of us would ask the other for their hand in marriage. But here we are today and I did just that, asked \n\t\t\t\t\tlafeel to be my husband and he said yes! Over the past 7 years our wary friendship started here on FA on a now long deleted submission, we talked at best once a week via PM here on FA before moving to YIM. Ever so slowly we started talking more and more before talking on a daily basis. Yes we have shared secrets, yes we have had our spats, yes we made up, we have even worried ourselves sick when we haven't heard from each other in a few days. We have talked to each other via web cam a few times as well. This is a new and scary step that we are taking together, one that we are looking forward to taking together as husband and husband. I have made a promise to \n\t\t\t\t\tlafeel that this is till death do us part, there is nothing other than death itself that should ever tear us apart. For those that are curious,
\n\t\t\t\t\tlafeel lives in Iceland and I live in the DFW area of N TX. I am moving to Iceland to be with my fiance and husband, something that I am more than willing to do. I am looking forward to meeting my new in-laws and hopefully one day in the near future, Lafeel will get to meet his in-laws without them preaching to us. But that is a moot point, there is only two people in my family who support me in this venture, my oldest nephew and my Grandma, both of whom have been a major source of support these past few years. Lafeel has been here for me through good times and bad, happy and sad. When my partner passed away last July, Lafeel was one of the few people who kept me grounded and stopped me from doing anything stupid. It was a couple of years before my partner passed that both of us started falling for each other (I think), and it was also around that time that i started falling out of love for my deceased partner. No I never stopped loving him, I still do to this day. It is because of Stephen that Lafeel and I are engaged. Stephen was very fond of telling me at least 4-5 times a week that I need to move to Iceland to be with Lafeel, and that we should be together even after he died. In this, I know that Stephen is looking down and smiling at us, happy that I have found someone to spend the rest of my days with and not leave this plane of existence alone with no family, friends or spouse by my side.
To everyone who gave me the 'Daddy' talk, you have my word that I will not hurt Lafeel, I will hurt myself first before anything like that happens.
Now, I am sure that you all are wondering and asking, "When is the wedding?" I will tell you now that our wedding is set for 7/22/2014, EXACTLY halfway between his birthday and mine and that if can figure it out, you will see something interesting about our birthdays and wedding date.

Lafeel and I aren't perfect, we have never claimed otherwise. Both of us aren't exactly like our main characters, nor are we the polar opposite of our main characters. Our OCs are what we would like to be, they are what we are striving to be everyday, kind loving people.
