Breath play is very dangerous if you don't have a buddy you trust there with you to help you if something goes wrong. Horatio learns this too late.
After a long day at work, Horatio returns home all pent up and stressed out. His first stop: the computer. He logs onto his favorite messenger, FIM, and immediately receives a message from perilousbatxxx:
perilousfurxxx: Hey cutie, I've heard you like to gasp.
horatio: Sure do, where'd you hear that from?
perilousfurxxx: Oh, a little birdie told me.
Horatio scratches his head and just shrugs it off. They both chat about their interests and the bat tries to convince him to cam for him.
perilousfurxx: Oh come on, you'll be fine, just scoot it far enough away that you can reach it.
horatio: What if something goes wrong? I'm alone here.
perilousfurxxx: You'll be fine. Surely you're all pent off and want to let it out.
After a bit more convincing, Horatio decides to give it a try, he turns on the webcam and coils a noose with his new friend's instruction. Over the rafters above the noose goes and it is secured. He sets up the stool and climbs up, noosing himself and pulling it tight. He rubs his paws all over his body as he readies himself, trying not to be nervous.
He places one paw behind the stool and jumps just a bit, kicking the stool out from under him. The sudden jerk on his neck as gravity pulls him back down choking him hard and sending him spinning and kicking. He reaches for the stool with his paws but realises too late that he kicked the stool too far, it laid toppled over just out of his reach. He gasps and chokes a "HELP HELP" at the webcam but no one comes to save him.
He starts to weaken in the noose, his dancing becoming twitches as he arches his back and humps the air, cumming all over himself and the floor before the world turns to ink.
After thorough examination, the police could find no sign of foul play, chalking it up as a brief suicide. The computer yielded nothing. It was as if the conversation never happened, or that perilousfurxxx just wanted it to appear that way...
The police knew that they could talk to Horatio in a week to find out who he talked to, if they remembered to that is.

Poor Horatio here is learning a simple but important lesson about breathplay. Never do it without someone there to help you in case you get into more trouble than you can get out of on your own.

Horatio can be killed for good but two things has to be taken from him within the first minute after he is dead by his killer, his heart and soul. He knows that he will revive and reform a week later, as well as knowing he can be snuffed for good, but he doesn't even know what it takes to take him from the world for good other than a natural death.
