"Heya, Chani," mewed Zaya, happily.
"Hi, Zaya," smiled Chani. "Come in."
Zaya stepped through the doorway and inside the Durai home. She walked alongside Chani through the living room, carrying a small suitcase and a backpack. Zaya was coming over to spend the weekend with Chani while her mother was out of town for a business seminar. After walking through the living room, they entered the kitchen. There Crystal, Chani's adoptive mother, was busy making a batch of brownies. She greeted the two kittens as they past through and into the laundry room and then into Chani's room. Her room is the converted garage that was remodeled into a bedroom, complete with closet space and it's own full bathroom.
"Thanks for letting me stay," said Zaya, as she placed her suitcase and backpack on the floor next to the door.

The two vegged in the chairs, watching TV for a while. After a few hours have past, Zaya looked at the clock and saw it was past 9 o'clock. She glanced over at Chani who was still paying attention to the TV. She stood up and turned off the TV.
"Mew," asked Chani, when the TV suddenly went blank.
"Come on," grinned Zaya, grabbing hold of Chani's hands. "Let's take a bath."
Chani blushed red and mewed as she was pulled up from her chair. She was lead to her bathroom, where Zaya closed the door and headed over to the tub. She turned on the hot water and as it got up to temperature, she pulled her shirt over her head.
