I'm disappointed I didn't think of it sooner - I was literally drawing Jess's car by the time it came to me. And, by the way - it actually is cold outside. Despite it being a 130-year-old record-breaking 60 degrees yesterday! El Nino don't mess around.\n\nOriginally, I had planned for Jessie to drive an Oldsmobile Aurora GTS-1 with AR08 rims, being inspired by Scratch from Destruction Derby: Arenas. That plan changed, however, as five days before I was set to begin work on artwork for Jessie and her car, I remember an obscure not-so-little prototype rally car/SUV thing from the '90s. The Mega Track. I've known about this thing for years - since 2017 or 2018 - but it had been kicked out of my head for not paying the rent within a year of my discovering it. Fast forward to January 17 of this year when out of nowhere this car-truck thing crashes back into my head like an A80 Corolla. I was thinking of making a new character for it but decided against it as it would fuck up the symmetry. Then I see this GTA 4 video of a guy driving the Fortune - one of my favourite cars in the game - in a colour similar to Jessie's. After thinking up a lore explanation for it, it was set in stone. Something interesting that I discovered about the Mega Track is that there's a lot of misinformation on the English-speaking web (like it being prefixed by Aixam, who created Mega in 1992 to be an offshoot brand like Geo), but the car has a French Wikipedia article, which was only translated to English on January 31 of this year. I really should get into journalism, this stuff's easy. In hindsight, I should have used the Euros from GTASA as a basis instead of a realistically-proportioned 300ZX. Oh well! It fits the lore better this way, even though I think Kit would make a perfect 1:1 replica, but I can't replicate it outside of my head so have this fatboi instead.\n\nThe inspiration for Jessie herself is a lot less dramatic.
