Deep in a Unova region forest, there was a Mienshao. Female, and quite lovely for its species, this Mienshao was highly sought after by the male Pokemon of the forest as a mate. As such, Mienshao had to train herself hard to keep unwanted suitors in their place. She was pretty strong for a wild Pokemon, and on this particular day, she was out at a small clearing in the forest, planning to practice her High Jump Kicks. This was particularly dangerous training, because failing to hit her targets would inevitably injure her. Still, she had to challenge herself. Her targets were apples hanging from the trees ringing the clearing. She looked up at them, choosing her targets carefully. She started easily, launching into a High Jump Kick and striking a relatively close target, breaking it in half! As the two halves of the apple fell to the ground, a Munchlax scurried out of the forest and snatched them up, stuffing them into its shaggy fur for later consumption before scurrying back into the woods. Mienshao chuckled softly at this, and looked for a more challenging target. She leapt into another High Jump Kick, but this time missed her mark, crashing against the tree and falling to the floor, groaning in pain! She quickly munched on a berry that she'd kept clutched in her paws since arriving, using it to recover some strength. There was a small number of berries piled off to the side of the clearing, which she had prepared since this training would certainly be rough. She climbed to her feet and walked over to pick up another berry.

As Mienshao was training, Munchlax ran out to clear any apples that fell from the trees away. However, it wasn't the only Pokemon watching Mienshao for long. Soon, the steps of several hairy legs made their way toward the clearing, stopping in the shadows to observe the spectacle unfolding. The owner of these four legs was a Galvantula, and it peered out at Mienshao with its six eyes, its curiosity greatly piqued. (Fun fact, despite being a tarantula, Galvantula only has four legs) It observed Mienshao's training for a bit, but was more intrigued by her lovely, athletic body. Sparks ran along his arachnid body as he concocted a scheme, and he started to crawl up a nearby tree to put it into action. As Mienshao looked around for the next apple to target, she paid little attention to the rustling of the branches in the treetops, chalking it up to bird Pokemon stopping to rest there. She jumped to strike another apple, when suddenly, a sticky, stringy substance shot out and snatched the apple away, causing Mienshao to miss and crash! She munched a berry and glanced up. There was another apple not so far from the one she targeted. Had she miscalculated her jump? She shrugged it off and went to get another berry, but Galvantula snickered softly from above. Berries could only heal so much, after all. So, Galvantula kept up this scheme. When Mienshao tried to hit an apple, if Galvantula managed to get close to it in time, he pulled it aside and forced her to crash, weakening her further! Since she wasn't missing every time, Mienshao thought that perhaps she was getting clumsy, but as her berries dwindled, Galvantula was nearly ready to make his move.

Finally, Mienshao crashed once too often, and found herself struggling to move upon landing on the ground. She rolled over and tried to lift her berry to her mouth, but dropped it! It went rolling into the clearing, and she crawled weakly after it, only to find Munchlax standing over it. She stared weakly at Munchlax, and it looked at her sympathetically, picking up the berry and offering it to her. However, a roar and an Electro Ball quickly frightened Munchlax off as Galvantula leapt down from the trees, landing behind Mienshao! There was a sense of triumph in his eyes as he looked over his prize, and Mienshao glanced back in shock and terror as the pieces quickly started coming together. She tried to climb to her feet and flee, but she was too weak to move quickly, and Galvantula quickly fired String Shots from his mouth at her, crawling around her in circles to tie her up in his webs handily! If she struggled, he added an Electroweb shot to the mix to take the fight out of her. Soon, Mienshao was tightly bound, with her arms tied against her sides, and she fell against the ground, able only to watch Galvantula to see what he had planned for her. He let out a few cocky "Galvan, Galvantula van, van!" remarks, unlikely to translate into anything polite, and then as Mienshao watched him crawl around behind her again, his intent became clear as she caught sight of his abdomen. After a few moments, footsteps were heard approaching the cave entrance, and the Pokemon shuddered, wondering if one of them would have to please that spider again. Instead, a certain small Pokemon appeared at the cave entrance. Munchlax! It had followed Mienshao from the clearing, and gathered its courage to enter the cave! Mienshao called out to it in relief, and Munchlax rushed over, pulling at Mienshao's sticky bonds and soon weakening them enough for her to break free! Mienshao then turned her attention to Lucario, and used Double Slap on her web bindings, slapping them with the long fur on her arms to eventually break them! Lucario grunted appreciatively, and joined the effort to free the others. Galvantula would be rather disappointed when he returned to his cave later, and Mienshao would redouble her training just in case she ever ran into that elespider again!
