It was time for a Squad meeting. Having done another montage of BIT-variant hunting between chapters, they had now come down to the final BIT-variant to capture. "Yes, thank you, Writer. Yet, everything is canon, so now the Squad had to return to the Deathbytes arena. "Oooh, I've never been there! Let's get going!" Cupie said a bit too cheerfully. Tails was reading up on Deathbytes and gulped. "I-I died in this series!? 2BIT, why would you let that happen??" he stammered. We wanted the results to seem credible so 2BIT's favorite character was killed early on... although in retrospect, that battle was total bull. "Sounds like it might be dangerous in this place. Guess the doctor better come along..." Zed suggested. "Oh, so I was only hired to bring you so-called gods back from the dead, huh??" Bucky said snarkily. "Demigods. And so, most of the Squad departed for the Deathbytes arena, except for Blocky who I barely count as a character, and Bucky who would be pretty bad to kill off again. As soon as they stepped into 8BIT's observation deck, however, a large trap door opened. Time briefly froze for 8BIT to explain himself. "Oh, yeah, I left this trap for you guys last time I was here..." After he said that, all of them plummeted into the hole Looney Tunes style, and found themselves transported by a system of slides into a cell...except for Tails, who landed in the arena. The final BIT, who looked like Classic 8BIT, emerged in the observation deck and cackled. "Now, on this episode of Deathbytes, we find out if Tails can survive against a horde of generic video game zombies!" "Maybe Tails..." Dusk sighed. 2BIT turned to Zed. "You know you coulda just drawn us an escape door... Never mind, draw me a door to where Evil 8BIT is, and the rest of ya go save Tails!" he ordered. "You could say please..." Vixy sighed, leading the way as most of the Squad headed for the main arena. Zed drew up a door that would magically take them back to the observation deck. "Let's be careful. Who knows what an Evil 8BIT is capable of..." he murmured. "I do." said the original 8BIT, who stayed back to join 2BIT, "Let's go get this imposter!" he growled. So, 2BIT, 8BIT, Zed and Bucky proceeded to the observation deck, where Evil 8BIT sat in a chair petting a Tails Doll in his lap like it was a cat, looking like a comical Bond villain. "I've been expecting you. I'm afraid there will be no saving your precious fox friend... Unless you release all of the 8BIT copies from your little prison!" he declared. 2BIT laughed at him. Though they were supposed to be rescuing Tails, the other Squad members found themselves getting chased by the zombies all around the Deathbytes arena. "Where'd he even get these zombies from, the Nightmare Zone's been de-nightmare'd!!" shouted Vixy as she fled alongside Cupie. Dusk and Stripes were grudgingly running from the other direction. "I'm too tired for this... Wh-where is Tails, anyway??" Stripes stammered. Neither group was paying very good attention to where they were going, and soon the whole squad was surrounded. "Well, this is the end..." Dusk sighed, and then stepped forward to use his body as a shield! "You all run, I'll face my destiny here!" he shouted. "You idiot, we're not letting you be zombie bait!!" Cupie shouted, trying to tug him back with the others. It seemed for a moment that they were doomed, but Tails suddenly emerged, flying over the zombie hordes! He produced a cobbled together weapon in his hands, and fired jets of fire at the zombies, causing them to stumble away, groaning as they attempted to shake off the flames. "Quit fooling around! We gotta go help 2BIT!" the fox shouted. Vixy stared up at him in bewilderment. "When did you become...so cool?" she stammered.

Don't we have more chapter left?" 2BIT wondered, scratching his head.

Upon returning to Byte Space, they found Blocky on the floor, unmoving. "This don't look good..." Stripes yawned, while 2BIT and Vixy raced to the prison area, finding the Pokemon guards knocked out, and the cells empty! "How!? How'd this happen??!" 2BIT shouted. Evil 8BIT was led in, all tied up, and laughed at the scene. "They must've heard I was comin' and ran away!" he joked. Vixy sighed as the "good" 8BIT locked up the bad one.
