Plumbers can be super. Hedgehogs can be fast. Kingdom Hearts can make sense. It can happen... I am The Writer of this multiverse. I am your guide to the adventures of BIT Squad... 

BIT Squad's efforts to find BIT-variants turned up a variant of 8BIT, this time spotted within the Pokemon multiverse. The original 8BIT was being brought on the mission as a consultant, and Vixy was joining them as well. Blocky stopped them on the way out of Byte Space. "I have something important for you, beep boop!" the polygonal fox reported, "Working with Bucky, we managed to duplicate the illusion powers of your old Zoroark and put it in these..." Blocky passed out some bracelets to the trio, with a red jewel inserted into the band. 8BIT groaned. "Jewelry doesn't suit me..." he complained. Blocky pointed at the bracelet in his hand. "Press the gem, boop bleep, and you will take on a form appropriate for the world you are visiting." he explained. Vixy raised her hand. "Question? If this is based on illusion power, then won't it fail when someone gets too close to us?" she asked. 2BIT shrugged. "I expect Bucky got it working like GeneX...or NexGen's dimension's illusions. We'll effectively transform into the chosen shape unless someone decides to punch us." he stated. "Isn't that kinda worthless??" Vixy exclaimed. Blocky looked around a bit awkwardly. "Bzzt... We'll, uhh... We'll get right on a more effective solution... beep." he said before walking away. 8BIT tapped the gem and briefly turned into 2BIT. "Look at me, I'm so vanilla that I needed to create a bunch of other mes to talk to, all of whom ended up more interesting somehow!" he said teasingly. 2BIT shook his head. "Oh yeah? Try holding a conversation with Stripes. Talk about a bore... Err, let's just go!" he said, just in time for our Writer to get bored and do a little time skip...

And so, because of the timing this chapter is being written, our trio soon arrived in the Hisui Region. Their bracelets turned each of them into a human wearing traditional garb, their main fur colors being retained for their hair. 8BIT found himself dressed oddly fancy, in an old-timey suit and a bowler hat, mostly black. "Wait just a minute... Are we in the past??" he questioned. "No, we're in a universe where this is the present. Don't be daft. I'm not allowing any more time travel in our multiverse!" 2BIT said with crossed arms. Vixy pointed at a nearby pasture. "Guys, seems like trouble..." she murmured. The fence was broken, and the Pokemon that had been contained in the pasture were roaming about. 8BIT held the brim of his hat. "Well, if these people thought a mere wooden fence would hold a stone rhino or a FIRE-breathing horse, they deserve what they get." he huffed. "I think the fence was just a boundary so tamed Pokemon knew where they could roam. Plus, this damage sounds like something you would do just to create chaos..." he stated, watching a timid Bidoof scurry past them in a hurry. Vixy yelped as a Gastly emerged in front of her face. "Yaah!! RUDE!" she snapped before the Gastly licked her and left her stunned. "Huh... I thought Hisuian Gastlys didn't learn lick..." 2BIT murmured. There was chatter around the nearby town gate, and people sounded quite concerned, so the trio crept over to listen. "It was a frenzied Pokemon! Not even a lord! It smashed the fence and fled into the Fieldlands!" one of them said. "Can the Security Corps quell a frenzied Pokemon? Where's that Survey Corps recruit that quelled Kleavor?" another questioned. "Out on a survey mission! What do we do?" a third whimpered. 2BIT glanced at the others. "New 8BIT can wait... Let's catch some Pokemon to help with this. When in Rome, you know?" he said.

So, the trio "borrowed" some old-timey Poke Balls, and set out from the village to catch some Pokemon for their mission. Vixy pretty much threw her Poke Ball at the first thing she saw. "Alright! I caught a Bidoof!" she said a bit over-excitedly. "Cute... I'll be right back..." 8BIT said, heading off on his own to search. 2BIT sighed. "We probably won't find anything very strong around here. But I guess I need something..." It took a while, but 2BIT came across a Pikachu wandering the fields. "Do I HAVE to be Ash Ketchum in this scenrio?" he groaned, "Ahh, no time to waste..." he mumbled, sneaking up close and tossing the ball to catch Pikachu. "There... Now, where'd 8BIT get to?" he wondered, looking around. Vixy tapped his shoulder and pointed. "Here he comes..." she said, both their eyes widening to see 8BIT approaching with a huge Alakazam floating behind him. "Old-timey Poke Balls work a thousand times better than modern ones, appaently. Figures. Silph probably cheaps out on the materials so they can charge more for an inferior product. Corporations are alike in every universe..." he sighed as 2BIT and Vixy stared. 8BIT snickered, "What, this guy? Found an Alpha near Lake Verity. What'd you get?" he asked. "Shut up..." 2BIT grumbled. "By the way, reason we haven't seen the frenzied Pokemon is cuz apparently it moved on to Mount Coronet." 8BIT added. Meaning, they had to head for a much more treacherous environment with just a Pikachu, Bidoof, and one big Alakazam.

And so, the trio set out, experiencing many hardships that we just don't have time to discuss, but it allowed that level 2 Bidoof and level 12 Pikachu to train up and avoid being entirely useless. They also had to scale the mountain a bit, which left Vixy in particular wiped out by the time they found the frenzied Pokemon. Glowing with bright light, they found a Zoroark! It glared and spoke to them. "With the power I've taken from the space-time rift, I, 8BIT, shall be a GOD!!" It seemed this Zoroark was the 8BIT variant they were searching for. The real 8BIT sent out Alakazam with a smirk. "Jokes on you! Hisuian Zoroark is a ghost type, so you're not immune to my Alakazam's Psychic!!" he shouted. However, as Alakazam attempted to unleash its attack, it proved ineffective. "...He's a regular Zoroark, isn't he?" 8BIT gulped, the light having thrown him off. The Zoroark responded with a powerful Dark Pulse, which knocked Alakazam into a heap! "Pikachu!! By the power of Anime!! Thunderbolt our enemies to oblivion!!" 2BIT shouted, prompting Pikachu to leap at Zoroark, sparking with determination...and immediately get punted across the mountainside with a Feint Attack! 2BIT ran to chase the Pikachu. "YOU aren't supposed to go blasting off!! Aaargh!!" This left the exhausted Vixy and her Bidoof to deal with 8BIT. She let out a light growl. "You made me... Climb a friggen mountain! Yer toast!! Bidoof...USE SUPERPOWER!!" The Zoroark was taken off guard, especially as Bidoof leapt at him, enveloped in power, and smashing that power into him with all its might!

A Poke Ball flew right into the face of the weakened Zoroark, and fell to the ground with minimal fuss. The 8BIT variant had been captured! The original 8BIT, who threw the Poke Ball, stepped over and picked it up. "Yeah, these old-timey Poke Balls are incredible! Gotta boycott Silph Co..." he muttered. "Hey! I beat him! Gimmie that Poke Ball!" Vixy shouted. "But he's ME, I should have custody!" 8BIT pointed out. 2BIT walked up carrying Pikachu in his arms. "Guys, we're not training him and battling competitively with him!" he pointed out. "What are we doing with him, then?" 8BIT questioned. That was a good question. "Err... Well... Haven't quite figured that out yet. What do we do with most of these variants? Guess we should just contain him for now. We'll figure out an ending to this wacky storyline later." ...You mean I'LL figure out the ending, 2BIT. I'm the Writer around here. At any rate, the trio were ready to return home...but not before an Alpha Gliscor swooped towards them, causing them all to scream in surprise and run off like the Scooby Gang. That's not a hint at future universes they'll visit, I just thought the imagery would be funny. At any rate, when they arrived back at Byte Space, Zoroark 8BIT was fitted for a shock collar and prepped to stay in a proper prison cell. "What are you doing? A shock collar!? Detaining me for the crime of existing?? Are you the baddies after all??" Zoroark protested. Bucky had actually prepped the collar, and gave the Zoroark a little test jolt. "Don't play innocent, weren't you the one carrying on about wanting to become god? Funny, I thought you already were." the rat stated. "Demigods, not the same thing." 2BIT corrected, "And you've a choice, this or the Poke Ball?" he asked. "...Jail, please..." Zoroark groaned.


Once locked in his cell, Zoroark found himself guarded by Vixy. The bars were made of a sort of energy, so he couldn't touch them, but he stepped as close as he could, admiring the vixen through said bars. "So... You aren't a human at all. "And since you're gonna be here a while, I suppose we all should become better...acquainted." 8BIT smirked.
