It had been a couple years since the project to recreate "Sonic Adventure" on this formerly deserted island began. It hadn't gone as perfect as some design projects, but 2BIT was still fairly proud of his work. The streets were paved very much the same way as Station Square. There was an outdoor Twinkle Park complete with rides and a small fishing pond. The Resident Services building served as the train station, with a raised cliff behind it through which the track traveled to the Mystic Ruins. It was in the plaza in front of Resident Services where they found half the town out doing group stretches. "Got 'im!" Cupie said excitedly, flying into the crowd to tackle someone wearing a helmet. A certain cat, Raymond, gave fox-2BIT a quick look-over. "Hmm... Nope, never seen ya. Your brand manager's not good at his job, crisp." he shrugged. Tom Nook, the business-minded tanuki who set up the whole island operation, was picking up the tape deck from group stretching to put it away. "Nook! You 'ol crook! Surely you remember the MILLIONS of bells I've paid you for stuff over the years!" 2BIT said, a bit frantic. Nook looked at him thoughtfully. "Hmm... Yes, yes... Uhhh, no. Your face isn't familiar. Have you been mailing payments for things?" 2BIT nearly fell over at that. He'd raised a literal fortune getting out of debt to this chubby not-raccoon. Human 2BIT had wandered behind the "Casinopolis" building, where a plot of land had been set aside for a vegetable garden. There were carrots, potatoes, tomatoes, and way too many pumpkins. What do you remember about, say... before this island?" fox 2BIT asked. A question mark materialized over the human's head as he thought it over. "Well, this island is DOOM Omega. Before this I was the mayor of DOOM Gamma. Like most of these towns, Gamma's gone now. Beta was close to a city... The original DOOM town, I admit, I don't remember too much, but I kinda knew they'd pretty much burn down without me. That's why I kept naming the towns 'DOOM.'" he explained. 2BIT nodded. "And... you don't recall anything before that?" he asked the human, "Or, like... in-between all that?" The human stuffed his veggies into the strangely huge pockets Animal Crossing villagers had, and looked at the fox 2BIT quizzically. "What's with all the questions? Look, I didn't burn down those towns. If anything, I suspect Nook. For whatever reason, he follows me to the next town every time. I think he's running insurance scams. That Lyle creep's probably in on it, though I ain't seen him in a while..." Well, that was strange lore, but 2BIT decided not to press the matter. He watched as his human counterpart headed into the nearby diner next to the casino area, where he set to work cooking some of those veggies. "He just...wants to live my best life here. And who knows, with another me to take over, maybe DOOM Omega doesn't have to be doomed..." he reasoned.

2BIT found Cupie flying around a toilet in the middle of the street. "Don't tell me... That was the treasure?" he sighed. Cupie chuckled awkwardly. "I'm ready to go home now..." he stated. Tails was holding a "ProwerPhone," a type of GummiPhone invented by a version of himself that had adventured with a certain keyblade-weilding feline. He was listening to Bucky on the phone. "We hope you guys are done there, because we've found another rogue BIT..." the rat stated. Tails glanced at 2BIT uncertainly. "Err... We'll be along as soon as we can." he said, hanging up. He and Cupie looked to 2BIT, who just shrugged. "There's nothing sinister going on here... At least not from that human-me. Nook's operation could use a little investigation, but that's not really our job, I'd say." he stated. "So we're just gonna leave him here?" Tails asked. 2BIT glanced back to see his human self sharing around a pizza with his villagers, and he nodded. "Yeah, I mean what did we think we'd find in this world? Invading aliens led by a power-mad me? It's Animal Crossing, it'll be fine." he stated. His friends nodded, and Cupie waved farewell to Stitches. "Bye, friend! I had fun playing with ya! Maybe next time bury some money or something...instead of a whole toilet..." he said with an awkward chuckle. Stitches smiled. "I wanted to bury some apples, but whenever I bury them, they turn into a baby tree straight away. I'm not allowed to bury food anymore, stuffin..." he stated. 2BIT chuckled awkwardly. "Yes, well...
