"description": "This is the madness I'm doing, and where better to start than with Experiment 1, Punchy the Echidna? Oddly enough, I hadn't done a computer-colored drawing of Punchy yet, so... it's about damn time.\n\nAlso included is Dark Punchy, who was originally created mainly to prove that I could better design a character if I wanted to... I just made a green Knuckles recolor for plot reasons. (He's a clone. Plus he's Experiment ONE, can't expect much) Now, there are 10 dark forms... most of which I've never bothered to use. But I'm intending to draw them.\n\nPunchy was cloned from Knuckles, and due to the imperfect nature of the cloning process, somehow wound up with some of Knux's memories. As a result, he believed himself to be the true Master Emerald guardian, and wound up in conflict with Knuckles. After years of fighting, the two of them have a bit of an understanding now, and Knuckles occasionally allows Punchy to guard the emerald while he's out. He was created with an exceptionally long lifespan, and is destined to take over for Knuckles after he dies. (as seen in Soleanna Struggle, my adaptation of Sonic 06)\n\nEnjoy!\n\n\nUpdate! - Biography! (abridged)\n\nBucky pulled some kind of trick on Knuckles to clip some of his hairs, and used his DNA to create Punchy, the first GeneX Experiment to successfully live. Punchy did not believe himself to be created, though. He somehow carried some of Knuckles' memories of the Master Emerald, and believed he was the true guardian. Finding the emerald missing, he and Knuckles began a race to find it.\n\nAlong the way, he met Rainbow the echidna, who he forged a reluctant friendship with. He also met Illusi the shrew, who began to test him in various ways. Illusi had seen a vision of Punchy going mad with darkness and causing terrible destruction, so he wanted to find a way to prevent this.\n\nPunchy nearly did become Dark Punchy when confronted by Knuckles with the truth of his creation. However, due to the bond he'd forged with Rainbow, she was able to snap him out of it.\n\nFor a time, Punchy became a friendly rival to Knuckles, occasionally attempting to snatch the Master Emerald just to \"keep him on his toes.\"\n\nRainbow got Punchy involved in the battle with the Covenant of Despair when they saw her long-missing sister, Violet, working with them. Despair sought the Chaos Crystal that Rainbow was supposed to be guarding, and when they kidnapped her to get it, Punchy grappled with his dark side trying to save her AND the world. In the end, Punchy teamed up with both Knuckles and Dark Punchy to defeat Despair's leader, Howler the wolf.\n\nA \"Tournament of Chaos\" was held to determine the chosen holders of the Chaos Relics. Doing well in the competition, Punchy left with the speedy Chaos Boots, which he would put to use for the Resistance when Eggman and Infinite conquered the world the following year.\n\nPrior to the Infinite Crisis, Punchy had proposed to Rainbow. In the year that followed, the echidnas were preparing for the wedding, but an attack by GUN and Fera the wolf nearly ruined the event. A time-travelling friend of theirs was able to use a spell to restore the Hidden Ruins where Rainbow lived to their pristine state, and the wedding was finally held there.\n\nThey returned from their honeymoon with a baby daughter, Aurora. Punchy then joined his close friends Copter and Gemini, training to use his Chaos Boots with them while balancing his duties as a dad.\n\nThe mysterious Doomsayer has prophesized the coming end of the world, the undead Lost Ones being the apparent cause. Punchy will have to team up with his friends to defeat this prophecy, for his daughter's future...\n\nThe story ends in \"Sonic GeneX: Doomsday\"",

Along the way, he met Rainbow the echidna, who he forged a reluctant friendship with. He also met Illusi the shrew, who began to test him in various ways. Illusi had seen a vision of Punchy going mad with darkness and causing terrible destruction, so he wanted to find a way to prevent this.
Punchy nearly did become Dark Punchy when confronted by Knuckles with the truth of his creation. However, due to the bond he'd forged with Rainbow, she was able to snap him out of it.
For a time, Punchy became a friendly rival to Knuckles, occasionally attempting to snatch the Master Emerald just to "keep him on his toes."
Rainbow got Punchy involved in the battle with the Covenant of Despair when they saw her long-missing sister, Violet, working with them. Despair sought the Chaos Crystal that Rainbow was supposed to be guarding, and when they kidnapped her to get it, Punchy grappled with his dark side trying to save her AND the world. In the end, Punchy teamed up with both Knuckles and Dark Punchy to defeat Despair's leader, Howler the wolf.
A "Tournament of Chaos" was held to determine the chosen holders of the Chaos Relics. Doing well in the competition, Punchy left with the speedy Chaos Boots, which he would put to use for the Resistance when Eggman and Infinite conquered the world the following year.
Prior to the Infinite Crisis, Punchy had proposed to Rainbow. In the year that followed, the echidnas were preparing for the wedding, but an attack by GUN and Fera the wolf nearly ruined the event. A time-travelling friend of theirs was able to use a spell to restore the Hidden Ruins where Rainbow lived to their pristine state, and the wedding was finally held there.
They returned from their honeymoon with a baby daughter, Aurora. Punchy then joined his close friends Copter and Gemini, training to use his Chaos Boots with them while balancing his duties as a dad.
The mysterious Doomsayer has prophesized the coming end of the world, the undead Lost Ones being the apparent cause. Punchy will have to team up with his friends to defeat this prophecy, for his daughter's future...
