When we step over the threshold into the world we call home we are able to shrug off the yolk of the world for a moment. We can stand in the doorway and believe for the space of seven breaths that we have no connection to the outside world. However responsibility always finds us no matter how long we hold our breath. So we tend to our evening routine in the hopes that we can finish what busy things that occupy our lives so that we may try to fill in a few minutes with a bit of enjoyment. When those clumps of seconds dissolve we sit again before slumber and take another seven breaths to escape.
