Commission part 1 of 2 for   Thunderkid92

This was an experiment. Although I enjoyed drawing the lineart immensely, and it came out exactly in the way that I want over the lineart I've been hating, the coloring process highlighted the problems with this particular style. It's a throwback for sure, while still being entirely digital. But now I see why I disliked my pencil lineart. Colors had a tendency to overpower the nice, organic, and flowing lineart that I want just like this. So what am I supposed to do? Well, some level of blending seems to be a good idea, it helps create this lovely variability. Any further changes to the marker tool makes it turn into the pencil tool that I started to hate using... just chicken scratching my way to thicker lines and very forced shapes or lines. Lines that were too harsh and too black. Next time, I'll use a smaller marker size with less blending.

I didn't want to add anything more to the picture. I felt too awful about it to continue. :(

Enjoy!
